“No problem. I’ll help you to win Mommy back, Daddy. But you have to work hard too.”

Avery spoke like a mature little man, and the two of them exchanged a smile.

“What are you two up to again?”

There was some distance between Ember and the two, and she couldn’t hear anything since they were whispering.

Avery simply looked at Caleb with a smile, saying, “Nothing! Daddy and I are just discussing what games to play.”

“You’re my son, alright. You’re so smart!” Caleb gave Avery a big thumbs up.

While Caleb and Avery were chatting, the office door suddenly opened.

“How are you doing, Caleb?”

A familiar voice entered Caleb’s ears. He turned and looked, then noticed Penelope was moving toward him with two packaged meals.

“I’m worried that you’re not used to the food here, so I personally made some for you. You should eat some while it’s hot,” she said sweetly.

She spoke to him in a coy, babyish voice while looking at him with a doe-like gaze in an attempt to look cute.
