“Avery, are you happy that I can join your parent-children carnival this time?” Caleb asked.

In the car, father and son were chatting away happily. Neither spared a glance at Ember’s cold expression.

“I am!” Avery almost jumped up, jubilant.

“I don’t have a daddy every time the kindergarten has any activities. Now I have one too!”

Ember looked at Avery, and noticed that he seemed to be happier after Caleb entered his life.
