Chapter 91

“Doctor Ember, there has been a car accident. There are five victims who suffered serious injuries, and they’ve all been transferred to our hospital. We don’t have enough doctors.”

A nurse jogged into Ember’s office to report what was happening.

Normally speaking, Ember had already clocked out and it was time that Avery finished school. Originally, she wanted to go pick Avery up and go back home, but this accident ruined her plans.

However, when patients were involved, she couldn’t delay. She agreed to it. “I’ll come soon.”

When she thought about Avery, she didn’t feel he would be safe. Someone must pick him up first. As she was out of options, she gave Caleb a call.

“I have a surgery. Can you pick Avery up and take care of him for the afternoon?”

Ember made it short and concise. She wanted to rush into the surgery theater to start performing the surgery for the patients.

“Alright! Leave Avery to me. Don’t worry.”

Caleb could hear the urgency in her tone. He didn’t tease Ember
