Chapter 1 : Her misery

"Why?" The only word that came out of her mouth.

Her expression is completely sharp with no emotions showing on her face. Her eyes are stagnant, but tears are streaming from them.

Estelle Bellatrix Malraux is a free-spirited woman. A lady that was trained to fight and to lead the pack once her father stepped down from being the Alpha of their pack, Malraux.

Estelle has the beauty of her late mother. She has complex skin that would stand out in a pack of Lycans. It is not white as snow, but not black as the sky when it's dusk. Though her skin is tanned, it glows even if she's not sweating. Her eyes are black as the night with no stars that will devour you as you look into the depths of her eyes. But that's not the highlight of her beauty; it's her lips that have the tone of red apple. Every Lycan in their pack is stunned by her beauty and also amazed by her skills in fighting, especially when she's using her katana. Her moves are swift as a gust of wind, and her strength is not that strong, but her agility can make her opponent lose in their match.

The Beta who led the group of lycans to kill her parents is in front of her. Wearing an empathetic emotion He's feeling pity for Malraux, but it is phony.

"What do you mean, why?" He asked with a confused tone, waiting for Estelle to answer.

Estelle turned her head to look at the killer's eyes, then she punched him in the stomach, making him howl in pain.

"Why did you do that?" The Beta instantly asked her while stroking his stomach.

Estelle did not answer but made her fist roll and readied herself to punch again, but the beta stopped her by blocking it with his hand.

The beta is still clueless about Estelle's punching him. Although thoughts have started to build inside his head, he nonetheless thinks that Estelle will never know that he is the lycan behind the death of her parents.

Estelle did not speak again and chose to go out of the house made of wood, but exactly when she opened the door, a dozen Lycans were waiting right in front of their house. wearing an expression of angst and mocking. She could read their thoughts that they were mocking her parents about being killed by Lycans, even though their father was the Alpha of their pack and was the strongest Lycan in their pack.

"Where are you going, little Malraux?" The beta asked with a tone of travesty. Estelle did not answer and chose to be silent.

“I asked you, little wolf? I can be your father. ” When Estelle begins to attack the wolves or Lycans waiting outside their house, the beta abruptly cuts his word.

She kicked the wolf that was in the center and hit him right on the head. The wolf tried to dodge, but Estelle was too fast for him. The Wolf was already down, but Estelle kicked his head, making his skull crack and being the cause of his death. Everyone heard how the wolf's skull cracked and they had never witnessed a scene like that until they saw how Estelle killed one of their colleagues.

They were in awe, but the beta told them to attack Estelle. They readied themselves to throw a punch and kick at her, but before they even moved an inch, Estelle killed one of the Lycans that was on her left by breaking its neck. Till now, two of the wolves were already dead-killed by just a girl with no experience at all...

The beta who's behind all the kills is also amazed by Estelle's skill in fighting. He's sure that Estelle was trained extremely hard by his father, Einuo.

She's meant to be a Luna. The beta commented in a whisper.

The rest of the Lycans were still in shock as they did not dare to move.

Estelle, on the other hand, is just feeling herself. She's getting numb as the burning sensation inside of her is sucking her energy and building up in her chest.

Estelle feels like she's going to blast off at any moment as the sensation is consuming her energy. She wants to kill all the wolves or Lycans in front of her with the Beta. However, whenever she moves, the sensation puts pain in her whole body, making it excruciating for her to try to endure it.

"Shift on your wolf form, you useless dogs!..." said the Beta once more. He busted and speaks, “...and kill that girl. She's no use at all. " The beta tsk as he said those words.

The Lycans nodded to one another, then stepped back to create a space to shift. After that, they immediately shifted to their wolf form.

Fur started growing on their skins, then an ear and tail grew after. After a minute of the cracking sounds of their bones, a wolf of 4'3 height appeared in front of Estelle. They were already at their full wolf size, which meant they were old and strong enough to kill her if they attacked her full force.

After shifting to their wolf form, they howled. They were loud enough for the other Lycans of Malraux's pack to hear them.

After that howl, the beta walks towards where Estelle is. He walks slowly, wearing a mocking smile on his lips.

“You're outnumbered, little puppy. Now! Are you ready to be with your parents in the afterlife?” Then he laughs like a crazy man.

“But I will let you choose, Estelle. Or do you come with me and be a Luna for me... or die mercilessly? " He added as he stopped walking.

He began to laugh again, but it stopped when he heard a cracking sound, and when he peeked at Estelle, she gave him a shock.

This is the very first time that Estelle has shifted into her wolf form, and that made the beta admire her more.
