Morgan's POV

I had no idea what to think as I made my way into the hospital Eve had mentioned in her text.

A family member in critical condition? She had never mentioned anything about anyone close to her being in the hospital to me. Was it an accident?

When I got to the reception, I realized I didn't know who the patient was, so I couldn't ask for directions. I brought out my phone and called her. She did not pick up. When I tried a second time, it went unanswered.

I wondered whether she was refusing to pick up because I was calling as Morgan. I used the number that she associated with Sylvester to call a third time. She didn't pick up.

Realizing I would have to scour the hospital for her, I made my way to the emergency wing. She was not there, so I got on the elevator and onto the first floor. I opened doors, looked through windows, perused wards, but she was nowhere.
