EVE'S POV

The next morning, Daniel and I sat down to have breakfast together. I asked him if it would be okay to leave my luggage at his place while I took care of some matters during the day.

He told me I could stay as long as I wanted, but I insisted that I wouldn’t be a burden.

"Just don’t shy away from asking me if you need anything. You can count on me, Eve."

I nodded and gave him a grateful smile.

"Thank you, Daniel. I don’t know how I’ll ever repay your kindness."

"I would do anything for you," he said, staring straight into my eyes.

I remembered when Morgan had warned me that Daniel wanted to sleep with me. I had always thought that his interest in me had ended in college, but there was no mistaking the look in his eyes. Granted, it wasn’t a bad kind of look. Morgan had made it sound as if Daniel’s only interest in me was getting me to bed, but that wasn’t the kind of longing I saw in his eyes. This one was pure, sincere.
