(Natasha's POV)

My heart raced; I could only hope he didn't notice it. I doubted.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I realized I forgot something; I returned, and just as I suspected, you weren't here. Where were you?"

"I went for a run."

"In the middle of the night?, just when I was away?"

"So what? I can't leave the room now."

"Never said you couldn't."

"So what is the problem?, Are you suspecting me?"

He watched me. "You are hurt, Natsha."

"It's fine..."

Before I was done with my statement, he had yanked me to my feet, and I let out a silent cry.

"Who did this to you?" he asked, and there was a murderous look in his eyes. I never taught Diego could kill for me, but now, seeing the look in his eyes, I feel like I underestimated what this man felt for me. There was only one person who had looked at me this way, Set.

I inhaled.
