Chapter Fifty Two

(Natasha's POV)

I climbed out of the balcony.

The Ghost had said Luna was alone. Meaning she didn't sleep in the same room Damien and her son did. I found that weird, and the fact that the Ghost knew that too was also strange, but I had to trust his words.

He was right. When I got to their room, I peeped into the apartment meant for the Luna and the Alpha, I noticed she was absent, but Damien wasn't asleep either; he was seated on a couch, taking a drink from a dark-colored bottle.

I passed by quickly; I dare not underestimate the Alpha by lingering.

I looked through other rooms, but I couldn't find her. I would have chosen to walk down the hallways, but I suspected that they were cameras, and that would only make things harder. But while climbing, I could easily avoid the cameras, as I had already noted blind spots where the cameras couldn't easily capture.

Finally, I stopped.

I didn't know why I believed this was the one, but I could almost perceive her scent in here.
