Chapter Fifty One

(Natasha's POV)

"Freedom. You want freedom. Where would you go, child?"

"Anywhere, I could live amongst humans for all I care. I just want to be free."

"Free of what?"

"The bloodshed"

The ghost was silent for a long time. "For every request, there is a price. Are you ready to pay the price?" He asked, and I nodded. I expected that; everything did come with a price, and I had learned that.

I hadn't been quick enough to notice The Ghost take out an object from his cloak. His hand had also been fully covered with special gloves, just the same color as his coat; the object in his hands was a dart gun. I knew about this; I had seen him use it once. It was no ordinary dart gun; the darts were coated with a deadly toxin; it could incapitate a person on the spot, and it only took a minutes for the poision to spread, leading to a very painful death.

I should have known; he would rather I die than get the freedom I so desperately wanted. Maybe that was the reason he came all the way here
