Chapter Fifty Seven

(Natasha's POV)

I stood to my feet, watching Set with cold eyes.

"He sent you here, didn't he? You didn't come because I called, but because the ghost sent you."

He gave no response, but I could see him taking out the daggers from his belt; it was his favorite dagger. I had seen him use them a couple of times.

He threw one at me, and I caught it mid-air.

"Now we are even," he says, even if he knew I could never be even with him, the dagger made no difference. He was Number Two, one of the oldest and most skilled amongst us all, the one I looked up to. He had helped me improve in my own field; he was a good teacher and instructor, and here he was, ready to fight me.

What was I fighting for? , The Blood Moon Pack hadn't destroyed my pack; everything I had done was in vain. The Ghost had deceived me... I hated him; I hated the fact that he deceived me, and again, I had another reason to stay alive: if I survived this, then I was going to get back at The Ghost, even if I might as well die
