Chapter Sixty One

(Lena)

I woke up on the white-titled floor.

I tried rising to my feet, but the throbbing headache prevented me from doing that.

I wasn't alone.

Aradia leaned against the wall, still in the same black cloak I had seen her in the last time she was here. What was happening? Was I dreaming?

"No, you are not."

"Did you just read my mind?"

"Not exactly," she said, walking towards me. "Your face said it all."

"Why are you here? How did you get in, and why am I on the floor?"

"You don't remember what happened?" she asked.

I tried remembering, what did happen and little by little, the pieces came together, I had remember the pain I felt.

There had been so much blood on the tiled floor after I had lost my balance and slammed my head against the wash basin- it was still broken, but the pieces that had been on the floor was no longer there; could I have imagined it? But then, how could I explain the head ache I felt?.

I noticed I was also in a new set of clothes.

"I cleaned up," Aradia said.
