Three months later:

"I can't believe this." I whispered to Brandon who looked dashing in his dark blue jeans and powder blue button up.

I was attending my mother's nuptials. She wore a dark red dress that barely reached her thighs and to be honest, she looked as high as a kite. Sure, she looked stunning in a sultry way, but this was her wedding for God's sake.

Hell, she was the one who made me dress in a white lace gown which was fitted at the waist and flared out at my hips and reached my knees.

"Neither can I babe." He shook his head to emphasize his point.

Beside her, my new step-father, Geoff Vasily wore a starched white shirt tucked inside black trousers. His face was blank as usual. I've read about people like him in my romance books. The surly guys. Usually, they'd show emotions after meeting their soulmate. Now, I'm not saying my Mom and him are soulmates and it's not like he's a romantic character, but surely, there should be something resembling joy in that indifferent face, but Geoff....he looked like he didn't want to be here.

We started on bad footing, and we barely tolerated each other. I didn't know how this marriage was going to work out for them, but I wanted no part in it. He never did stop calling me 'little girl'.

The ceremony was over, and it was my mother's favorite part. The reception part where she could get drunk. I really didn't think Geoff would appreciate her embarrassing him, but last time I tried to stop her, I almost got hit with a broken beer bottle.

I found it quite strange that there wasn't anyone from Geoff's side of the family, only his colleagues. But, who was I to judge? We had no one from our side of the family either. My mom's mom disowned her a long time ago and I didn't know where she lived.

It was just me and Brandon and Geoff's colleagues. I watched my mom get drunk and Geoff made no move to stop her.

She dragged him to the dance floor and tried to dance with him, but he barely moved and didn't even try to touch her. He looked at her with annoyance and not for the first time, I wondered why he even married her in the first place.

When she realized that there was no moving him, she moved back to the alcohol. He didn't move from the dance floor, so I took the opportunity to dance with him. I knew just the way to make him move.

"I'll be right back." I told Brandon, even though he was deep in conversation with his boyfriend, Cole. He looked at me and understanding passed between us, making us both smirk at each other.

He nodded at me and turned back to Cole.

I met Geoff, still standing on the dance floor. There was slow music playing.

"Want to dance with your new step daughter?" He didn't respond and in that moment, he looked so lost. Not on the outside though. He looked cool and collected on the outside, but his eyes told a different story. They were blank most of the time, but I just got a glimpse behind that blank facade.

I placed his hand behind my back and placed mine on his shoulder. I moved my feet and at first he didn't move with me, his hand barely touching my waist, but then I felt his hand press into my waist, the length of his hand spanning the width of my entire waist and then he did move.

"See? Progress." I beamed at him, trying to make him get to the loose tile in the ceiling, but he stared at me like he always did. Not in a perverse way or even in a creepy way, but as if he was trying to decipher some kind of code.

When the slow song morphed into a fast paced song, I grabbed both his hands in mine and moved us both to the fast beat of the music. I barely even reached his chin and successfully put him under the loose tile.

I glanced at Bran and he nodded. One minute, we were dancing and the next, Geoff was covered head to toe in white shaving cream. I slapped a hand over my mouth, trying not to laugh. I stepped back and his livid grey gaze met my green one.

He chuckled, laughing it off to his friends, but I saw the flat line of his mouth, the darkness in his eyes. That was when I thought it would be smart to take a step back.

"I-it's just a way to welcome you into the family." I managed a shaky smile. At this point, I was scared for my well being.

I was about to leave, but his arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me into his body. He bent down to whisper in my ear, ruining my dress as well, with shaving cream.

"That's the last fucking time you'll ever embarrass me, little girl."

"You're coming with me." He demanded.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." I couldn't manage an even tone and I hated it. He looked just about ready to kill me and judging by the scars hidden beneath his tattoos, I knew he wasn't a stranger to violence.

"Yes. You. Are. If you know what's best for you and your mother, you'll follow me like an obedient little pet." His Russian accent bled through his words.

"I am not your pet." My own anger rose.

"You are. Take a look around you. If you look close enough, you'll be a wise girl, but if you choose to make me drag you out of here, you'll be a stupid little girl."

I quickly glanced around and that was when I noticed two identical figures. One was near my mom and one was near Brandon and Cole. The three of them were unaware, but I saw the unmistakable bulge of a gun near their hips.

I looked at Geoff in what I hoped would come across as contempt, and not fear.

"Who are you?" I knew he was sketchy the first time I saw him, but this just confirmed it.

"I'm your stepdaddy. I told you to be careful what you wished for. Now follow me." I wanted to grab a gun from one of his goons and shoot him with it, but instead, I followed him. Like an obedient little pet.

We got in his black Audi after he made an excuse that he had to leave to get cleaned up and he was taking me, seeing as I was also covered in shaving cream. No one thought it was weird that he was leaving his wife. I didn't want to drag Brandon into my mess, so I told him I needed to get washed up.Inside the car, he spoke in rapid Russian through his bluetooth and that was when true fear settled in. What would he do?He finally rolled into a gravel driveway and stopped at a huge house. He didn't give me time to admire the architecture as he quickly climbed out of the car and dragged me out with him, entering through huge wooden double doors."Look, I'm sorry. We can settle this like two sane people." I hated this pleading tone, but I had to put my safety first. My words fell on deaf ears as he continued dragging me up the stairs. I couldn't even assess my surroundings, seeing

With my heart in my throat, I ran down the passage and down the stairs, hauling my body out of the door.I didn't have a car and I left my purse at the reception. Stupid, I know. I really didn't want to go back in there. Surely, there would be someone willing to give me a ride around here. With that thought in mind, I started down the gravel driveway, but immediately halted. A chill ran down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck rose.I slowly turned around and froze. Near the expanse of trees behind the house, there stood a man. A haggard man with baggy clothes and a beard that reached his chest. His eyes were red and his teeth were yellowed.I saw the glint of a knife he was holding to his side. I didn't think, I just ran back towards the house and slammed the door shut behind me.My chest was heaving up and down as my eyes connected with g

"Get out." He stood in front of me, blocking his open car door.I crossed my arms and stared straight ahead."Why are you such a brat? Look here." I wanted to ignore him, but I looked at him anyway.I knew by now when his eyes turned like that, it wasn't good news for me, but I'll be damned if I let him control me.He put both his hands on the roof of the car and leaned in."You already owe me a confession. You can either stay here or come inside your home. Let me just tell you, if you choose to stay here, you won't have your voice by the time you come inside." I unconsciously touched my throat. He chuckled and brushed my ear with his nose."I won't....choke you dorogoy. I'll eat your cunt out till you can scream no more."I shuddered and immediately removed my seatbelt and got out.

I didn't even think as I started running toward the forest.I ran for what felt like hours, but it could have only been minutes. The sun was setting and it cast a red hue on the trees.I didn't know where I was and I knew I was stupid for running into the forest, but I needed a reprieve from that psycho.Earlier, I had twisted my ankle when I tripped on a branch and that was just my luck. It was becoming darker, I didn't know which direction I came from and I was walking with a limp.I froze when I heard a twig snap. I've seen raccoons and rabbits and all sorts of critters on my way, but nothing heavy enough to snap a twig. I quickly hid behind a tree and when a hand harshly grabbed my arm, I screamed. I knew it wasn't Geoff, since these hands were meaty and very calloused. My heart stopped beating when I saw the haggard man. He gave me a crooked smi

My steps faltered as I stepped into the room, but Geoff was right behind me, pushing me gently into the room and locking the door.He made his way to sit on his throne and I followed. I didn't need him gripping my throat again. He sat and I kneeled."You learn fast." He chuckled.I straightened my spine and tipped my chin."You forgot your robe and crown daddy." I snickered."I don't need them. Now do it.""Bless me daddy for I have sinned.""Confess." It took everything in me not to roll my eyes at him."I assaulted you and could've killed you if I just had a nice grip." I couldn't mask the smugness in my voice."I could kill you right now and no one would even ask." That was the sad and bitter truth and it made me straighten up.

I walked down the halls of Carrington High. It looked much better than it did last year. Probably from the donations of this rich kid, Jonah Kingston.I walked towards my locker and saw Jonah on Dahlia...again. That boy needed to get his issues checked. Speaking of issues, Geoff's face popped into my head, but I internally swatted it away.Dahlia was just too nice for her own good. Whatever he was saying to her made her face become red, so it must be something dirty."Don't you have something else to do? Like, I don't know, remove that stick up your ass?"Dahlia giggled. He stared at her for a beat and turned to narrow his eyes at me."Watch your fucking mouth Anderson." He turned back to face Dahlia."Take a picture. It'll last longer." I spoke to him and I honestly didn't blame him. Dahlia was easily the most beautiful gi

That night, after dinner, Dexter Raymond called me."Are you ready? You don't have to do this.""I know I don't Ray, but I want to." I slipped on a hoodie and a pair of loose pants, both were black.I silently opened the front door, but of course, Geoff heard it from his study."Ramara." That was all he said. I could risk it by running out the door, but I didn't want to be subject to his wrath later.I trudged to his study and opened the door."Where are you going?" He asked me.I put my hands in my hoodie pockets."I'm hanging out with Brandon.""If I didn't know the boy was gay, I would would have tied you up."My face flamed in heat."Can I go now?""Kiss me and I'll let you." My mission was really important, so

Geoff :Ramara. Remy. The thought of her sent a rush through my blood.I watched as she closed the door silently behind her after she peered into my room. She was glad her whore mother wasn't sleeping with me.I wasn't in the habit of letting women into my bed, especially women like her mother. After an hour of waiting, I got out of bed. I had a camera installed in her room. Too fucking bad, I couldn't keep one in the bathroom. I didn't need to use secret cameras to look at a sweet little body that belonged to me. I would have my fill soon.My dorogoy thought the locks would keep me out. A sinister feeling rose in me. If only she knew. She was too good for me. I didn't deserve her, but I'll be damned if I can't have her anyway.I got out of my room and opened her door with my key. I didn't need to worry about making a sound. She was out cold tonight, not t

Three years later :"Geo." I groan as Geoff flicks my abused nipple. "You're a monster." I huff when he starts sucking on my other nipple. "I love your tits, dorogoy. It's not my fault they're irresistible."Somehow, after all these years, Geoff can still make me blush. I run my hands through his golden hair and stare into his grey eyes I love so much. The longer we stare at each other, the more heated our gazes become. I run my palm down his naked chest, lightly brushing his golden curls. It doesn't stop there though. I venture further down and am not surprised to find his erection in his sweats. I cup it and stroke. He closes his eyes and I touch my lips to his. An abrupt bang on the door jolts me awake."Ramara, dear. The kids are waiting for you.""I'll be down in ten, Yvette." I holler, despite my throbbing centre. Geoff :6 years later:I decided to come home early today, because why not? My dorogoy barely has time for me as is, plus I can take care of the kids while I'm at home.As soon as I opened the door, the twins latched on to both of my legs. I pretended to fall down and heard both their giggles.Ava and Mikhail. They blabbered on about something at the same time, but I'm not fluent in baby gibberish. But, I did seem to nod at the right time and laugh at the right time because they gave me proud looks. Then, they ran back to the living room.I followed them and spotted my dorogoy on the floor with all kinds of art supplies scattered around. Even Yvette was there. We hired her as the nanny. The twins were a mixture of me and my wife. Blond hair and green eyes.Remy turned around to look at me and her green eyes s

"So I'm not just your fuck buddy?""No." He said vehemently."Hate me. Loathe me. Despise me. But, don't fucking love me. Otherwise, you'd consume me. More than you already do. Until there's nothing left of me without you. I've been telling myself this for days. It doesn't matter now. You're mine and I want you so much. Back at the Bratva, I closed off my emotions. It was the only way to survive. But, seeing you always increases my emotions tenfold. I'm not blaming what I went through for my actions. I'll make it up to you, but you're staying with me." He squeezed my thigh and I was pretty sure my panties were soaked."Now that's the Geoff I know. The demanding insufferable ass."He shot me a look.He drove us to the airport."Didn't you bring anything with you?" I asked him."I knew that I had to bring you back. I didn't

2 days later :I was just getting settled in Dad's place, even though it didn't feel like my home. I tried not to think about Geoff, but it was impossible. I wonder if he's thinking about me. My lips curled when I thought about him with another woman.Sandra and Dad were very excited to see me despite my sour mood. They didn't have many visitors in the two days I was here, so when I heard the door bell ring, I was sceptical, but I opened the door anyway.I stumbled back a step when I saw Geoff in front of me. Not just normal Geoff. Haggard, disheveled Geoff. His hair was mussed up, his clothes were rumpled, his eyes were red and he even wore mismatched shoes. His normal five o'clock shadow was thicker than normal.I mean, I didn't look any better, but..."You look horrible." I was the first to speak. I was anxious, happy, angry and frustrated all at once.&

I parked Geoff's car in the driveway and slumped my head against the steering wheel. How in the ever loving hell will I get him inside?"Geoff. Wake up." I shook him hard.He jolted."Come on baby. We're home."I got out and opened his door. I leaned in and held his face in my hands."You have to help me out here Geo. You have to stay awake honey. I don't want to drag you and I can't lift you all by myself. Got that?"He got out on unsteady feet and slumped against me. I wrapped my arm around his waist."Easy."I locked his car and managed to get him to the front door. I couldn't unlock the door without putting him somewhere. I made him lean against a pillar and made quick work of opening the door."Geo. Come on honey." He could barely keep his eyes open, but he leaned against me and stumb

We ended up riding in Geoff's Audi. I put up no protest because I honestly didn't want to drive around in a dress, so I let it go, by pretending that Geoff was my chauffeur.I've seen Ray's house from the outside, but I've never been inside. The normal beige exterior was strewn with lights. For a rich man, his two storey home was humble and cozy."What's the party for?" I asked Geoff. His hands clutched the steering wheel in a white knuckled grip. I dared look down and I knew why the steering wheel was facing his white knuckled wrath. The man was painfully erect.I damn near rolled my eyes. Was it even normal for a man his age to be hard all the time?Still, it did things to my ego. But, I would be very, very mad if he was like that around anyone else. In fact, the thought had me shoving open the car door. It was irrational and downright stupid, but I couldn't do anything about

Dinner at Yvette's was lovely. She made jalapeño poppers, seafood paella and a delicious chocolate pie for dessert. The whole Garcia clan was welcoming. Yvette's husband, Anton Garcia welcomed me with open arms and her son, David Garcia was cute in a next door boy kind of way.I pretended to be happy, but really I was thinking about Geoff the whole time. I wasn't very good company that night, but no one pointed that out, and for that I was extremely grateful. I would definitely do dinner again with them and I hoped Yvette would invite me again...maybe when I wasn't feeling so down.I thanked Yvette for dinner, said my goodbyes and drove back home. I jumped out of my truck and wiped away my tears. God, I was miserable. It's like someone is piercing a blunt knife through my chest over and over again. That stupid fucking monologue got me into this shit. I stared down at her face after slamming the door on the boy's face. Her eyes were bloodshot and her face was wet with tears and snot. She was a beautiful mess. Her lips were also red and swollen. Anger immediately filled me."Did you kiss him?"She blinked at me. "Fuuuckk you. Put me doooown."Yes, I could deal with her anger. I gently put her down and she took a step forward. I immediately caught her as she tripped on her own feet. She slumped to the ground and faced the ceiling, giggling as she tried to make snow angels on the floor.I crouched down beside her.&
