Chapter 6

I didn't even think as I started running toward the forest.

I ran for what felt like hours, but it could have only been minutes. The sun was setting and it cast a red hue on the trees.

I didn't know where I was and I knew I was stupid for running into the forest, but I needed a reprieve from that psycho.

Earlier, I had twisted my ankle when I tripped on a branch and that was just my luck. It was becoming darker, I didn't know which direction I came from and I was walking with a limp.

I froze when I heard a twig snap. I've seen raccoons and rabbits and all sorts of critters on my way, but nothing heavy enough to snap a twig. I quickly hid behind a tree and when a hand harshly grabbed my arm, I screamed. I knew it wasn't Geoff, since these hands were meaty and very calloused.

My heart stopped beating when I saw the haggard man. He gave me a crooked smile as I struggled from his grip.

Both his hands clamped down on my arms and I screamed some more. He put a hand over my mouth and I gagged. I flailed and kicked at him, but he was bigger.

"Finally got you." His breath was rancid and my knees threatened to buckle. He pressed my body into the tree and I felt true fear. It was undiluted.

His hand went to his pants and I didn't waste a second in connecting my knee with his groin. He grunted in pain and I took the chance to run, despite my twisted ankle. I screamed and when I saw a dark green shirt, I flung myself at him.

Better the devil you know than the one you don't. I realized that Geoff could give me to that man just to teach me a lesson, but I couldn't let my thoughts stray there.

My arms were still around his waist, they had to be since I needed the balance and didn't want to topple over, straining my ankle even worse. I released him, but stayed close to him when I saw the haggard man right there.

It was quite ironic that just a few hours ago, I was running from him, but now I was hiding behind him for protection.

"Gimme the girl."

I unconsciously fisted the back of his shirt and felt his back tense.

My hopes were crushed when he pulled me in front of him.

He made me stand in front of him, lining my back with his front with his hand gripping hair.

He used his other hand to run down my body, stopping to squeeze my breast and ended with his hand rubbing my thigh. I squeezed my eyes shut when I saw the man lick his lips. I was repulsed by both of them. Tears trailed down my cheeks and I felt his tongue trace them.

He wrapped his arms around me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder, nuzzling his face into my neck, kissing it softly. I shivered.

"She's fucking mine Tom and you'll be sorry you touched what's mine. You're a dead man walking."

Tom's yellow face grew pale and I let out a sigh of relief. I was exhausted, my body had a few cuts and scratches and my ankle was twisted.

After Tom walked away, Geoff stared at me with a clenched jaw and stormy eyes.

He swiftly turned around and I silently limped, following him. I tried my best to keep up with his pace. I didn't want Tom to pop out from somewhere and jump on me.

He glanced behind his shoulder and his eyes zeroed on my ankle. He came up to me and put one of his arms under my knees and one around my back and lifted me up effortlessly. At this point, I was grateful.

I just wanted to soak in a bath and go to sleep. He started walking and the gentle sway made it hard for me to keep my eyes open. My head lolled against his chest and my nose inhaled his spicy scent, before I fell asleep.

"About time you woke up." A voice spoke next to my ear.

I slowly sat up and looked over at Geoff sitting in a chair next to the bed. I looked around and saw that I was in the first room I saw when I entered this house. The one with grey walls. An eerily similar shade to his eyes.

His blonde hair was slicked back and his shirt sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. Why I was noting his appearance, I didn't know.

I smelled food and that's when he put a plate in front of me.

"Eat."

I rolled my eyes. He was ordering me around like a dog.

"You need to drop the attitude, young lady." He said as I took a bite of the chicken parmesan.

"And you need to stop ordering me around like I'm a dog."

We both had a stare off and I didn't want to be the one to back down, but I was hungry, so I ate some more of the food in my plate.

"Where's my mother?" I asked him after I ate every morsel of food on my plate.

"That's none of your concern Ramara." He said my name as it was something filthy to utter.

I wiped my mouth. "Excuse me? That's my mother we're talking about."

"The same mother who doesn't care about you."

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What are you playing at? You say these things to me, yet you act as if you're her bodyguard whenever she's around?" I crossed my arms across my chest.

"I'm a defence attorney, not a bodyguard." He mirrored my pose.

"Sure looks like it though." I muttered as I got up and collected my dishes.

I made my way downstairs and put my dishes in the dishwasher. There were a few plates in the sink, so I loaded those in the dishwasher as well.

As I started the machine, I realized there was cream smeared on my cuts and scratches. I looked across the counter and met Geoff's grey gaze.

"Did you do this?" I pointed at my scratches.

He gave me a look as if saying 'Who else would do it?'

"Thanks." I muttered, even though it was his fault I ran in the first place.

"I think we've delayed your confessions long enough."

"No."

"No?" His face was stoic as he advanced towards me.

I couldn't move back, since I was against the dishwasher.

"I have an attic. Perfect for keeping you till you learn that your confessions are inevitable."

My eyes widened at that.

"You can't possibly do that. What about school?"

"I don't care as long as you learn that your confessions are non-negotiable."

"You're fucking crazy." I shoved his chest, but he didn't move an inch.

He leaned into me.

"Tell me the truth dorogoy. What are you really afraid of? Are you afraid that you don't like it or is it that you're afraid that you like it too much? That it makes you wet?"

I gaped at him.

"You're delusional."

I tipped my chin and straightened my back. I didn't falter as I took determined steps towards his confession room.

I didn't need him gripping my throat again. He sat and I kneeled."You learn fast." He chuckled.I straightened my spine and tipped my chin."You forgot your robe and crown daddy." I snickered."I don't need them. Now do it.""Bless me daddy for I have sinned.""Confess." It took everything in me not to roll my eyes at him."I assaulted you and could've killed you if I just had a nice grip." I couldn't mask the smugness in my voice."I could kill you right now and no one would even ask." That was the sad and bitter truth and it made me straighten up.

I walked down the halls of Carrington High. It looked much better than it did last year. Probably from the donations of this rich kid, Jonah Kingston.I walked towards my locker and saw Jonah on Dahlia...again. That boy needed to get his issues checked. Speaking of issues, Geoff's face popped into my head, but I internally swatted it away.Dahlia was just too nice for her own good. Whatever he was saying to her made her face become red, so it must be something dirty."Don't you have something else to do? Like, I don't know, remove that stick up your ass?"Dahlia giggled. He stared at her for a beat and turned to narrow his eyes at me."Watch your fucking mouth Anderson." He turned back to face Dahlia."Take a picture. It'll last longer." I spoke to him and I honestly didn't blame him. Dahlia was easily the most beautiful gi

That night, after dinner, Dexter Raymond called me."Are you ready? You don't have to do this.""I know I don't Ray, but I want to." I slipped on a hoodie and a pair of loose pants, both were black.I silently opened the front door, but of course, Geoff heard it from his study."Ramara." That was all he said. I could risk it by running out the door, but I didn't want to be subject to his wrath later.I trudged to his study and opened the door."Where are you going?" He asked me.I put my hands in my hoodie pockets."I'm hanging out with Brandon.""If I didn't know the boy was gay, I would would have tied you up."My face flamed in heat."Can I go now?""Kiss me and I'll let you." My mission was really important, so

Geoff :Ramara. Remy. The thought of her sent a rush through my blood.I watched as she closed the door silently behind her after she peered into my room. She was glad her whore mother wasn't sleeping with me.I wasn't in the habit of letting women into my bed, especially women like her mother. After an hour of waiting, I got out of bed. I had a camera installed in her room. Too fucking bad, I couldn't keep one in the bathroom. I didn't need to use secret cameras to look at a sweet little body that belonged to me. I would have my fill soon.My dorogoy thought the locks would keep me out. A sinister feeling rose in me. If only she knew. She was too good for me. I didn't deserve her, but I'll be damned if I can't have her anyway.I got out of my room and opened her door with my key. I didn't need to worry about making a sound. She was out cold tonight, not t

The next morning, I woke up feeling hot and tingly. My body ached and I couldn't get up from my bed. I touched a hand to my forehead and groaned. This was not a good time to get a fever.I panted. It was a bad move. Morning breath. I got up, crawled on all fours to the bathroom and managed to brush my teeth, sitting on the toilet.I crawled back the way I came, which unfortunately took longer since I used up my energy to brush, but the good thing was I didn't have bad breath anymore.I pulled myself up on the bed and sprawled out on the cool sheets which felt cool against my body.I fell back asleep and when I woke up again, my eyes collided with cool grey ones."Oh hey." I managed to say even though I wanted to ask him what he was doing in my room."What's wrong with you?" He crossed his arms across his chest.

The next day, I woke up feeling much better. Thanks to Geoff. I brushed my teeth and took a nice long shower.I pulled on a pair of skinny jeans and a loose T-shirt. Just as I was about to head out, I noticed something in my room. Something small, black and round. Something very similar to a hidden camera. With my pulse pounding in my ears, I walked closer and I knew. I knew a camera when I saw one. With anger fuelling me, I reared my arm back and punched the camera, shattering it into pieces. With the same anger in my blood, I stormed into his bedroom, finding him buttoning his shirt up. Just when I thought he was redeemable. I should have know better.I fisted his collar and slapped him. Hard. His head whipped to the side. I refused to feel any guilt."How dare you invade my privacy?! Did you get off on it?"He didn't say a word, his head slowly turning to

Shit just hit the fan when I reached school. I just happened to walk into school at the same time as Dahlia. I don't know what happened between her and Jonah, but now, I was covered in green slime.Jonah had a girl pinned against the lockers, but his gaze was pinned on Dahlia and I saw the brief flash of hurt she tried to mask. What a douchebag.I wanted to retaliate, but I saw Dahlia rub some slime on her fingers and mumble, "Interesting."She took out a small ziplock from her bag and put some slime in there. I think that's all the retaliation Jonah needed. I smothered a laugh. The girl Jonah was pinning muttered 'Nerd', looking at Dahlia and I muttered 'Bitch', looking at the girl.Right on time, Principal Richards came storming through the hallway."What in the world is going on in here?" His voice boomed in the silence. His gaze la

"Good evening! What can I get for you today?" I asked the middle aged lady standing in front of me."I would love a bubble tea and a scone."As I prepared her bubble tea, I heated up a scone. I put them both on a tray and placed it in front of her."Thank you." She tipped the jar and went to take a seat at an empty table. The door opened again and I gritted my teeth in anger. Chelsea and her entourage. She was the queen bitch. I had beef with her and I did not want her in my cafè. But, when I saw Dahlia walk behind them, worry gnawed at my gut.I saw that there were no new customers and went to their table."Dahlia! What are you doing here?"She smiled at me. "Chelsea wanted to get to know me better."I looked over at Chelsea and grimaced when she smirked.

It's not my fault they're irresistible."Somehow, after all these years, Geoff can still make me blush. I run my hands through his golden hair and stare into his grey eyes I love so much. The longer we stare at each other, the more heated our gazes become. I run my palm down his naked chest, lightly brushing his golden curls. It doesn't stop there though. I venture further down and am not surprised to find his erection in his sweats. I cup it and stroke. He closes his eyes and I touch my lips to his. I pretended to fall down and heard both their giggles.Ava and Mikhail. They blabbered on about something at the same time, but I'm not fluent in baby gibberish. But, I did seem to nod at the right time and laugh at the right time because they gave me proud looks. Then, they ran back to the living room.I followed them and spotted my dorogoy on the floor with all kinds of art supplies scattered around. Even Yvette was there. We hired her as the nanny. 2 days later :I was just getting settled in Dad's place, even though it didn't feel like my home. I tried not to think about Geoff, but it was impossible. I wonder if he's thinking about me. My lips curled when I thought about him with another woman.Sandra and Dad were very excited to see me despite my sour mood. They didn't have many visitors in the two days I was here, so when I heard the door bell ring, I was sceptical, but I opened the door anyway.I stumbled back a step when I saw Geoff in front of me. Not just normal Geoff. Haggard, disheveled Geoff. His hair was mussed up, his clothes were rumpled, his eyes were red and he even wore mismatched shoes. His normal five o'clock shadow was thicker than normal.I mean, I didn't look any better, but..."You look horrible." I was the first to speak. I was anxious, happy, angry and frustrated all at once.&

We ended up riding in Geoff's Audi. I put up no protest because I honestly didn't want to drive around in a dress, so I let it go, by pretending that Geoff was my chauffeur.I've seen Ray's house from the outside, but I've never been inside. The normal beige exterior was strewn with lights. For a rich man, his two storey home was humble and cozy."What's the party for?" I asked Geoff. His hands clutched the steering wheel in a white knuckled grip. I dared look down and I knew why the steering wheel was facing his white knuckled wrath. The man was painfully erect.I damn near rolled my eyes. Was it even normal for a man his age to be hard all the time?Still, it did things to my ego. But, I would be very, very mad if he was like that around anyone else. In fact, the thought had me shoving open the car door. It was irrational and downright stupid, but I couldn't do anything about

I wasn't very good company that night, but no one pointed that out, and for that I was extremely grateful. I would definitely do dinner again with them and I hoped Yvette would invite me again...maybe when I wasn't feeling so down.I thanked Yvette for dinner, said my goodbyes and drove back home. I jumped out of my truck and wiped away my tears. God, I was miserable. It's like someone is piercing a blunt knife through my chest over and over again.
