Chapter 56

Heather POV

The next morning, I woke to the sun beaming in through the patio doors again. I must have fallen asleep because I don’t remember the end of the movie and I don’t remember going to bed. One of them must have carried me to bed again. I get dressed for training in a similar outfit as the day before. As I reach the top of the stairs, I’m greeted with”Good morning Heather.” Both Reed and Lucas are standing at the bottom with big goofy grins on their faces. I stopped at the top step. “Good Morning.” I replied. I made my way down the rest of the steps. The boys part so I can pass. I made my way over to the table, the boys following. Reed pulls my chair out for me and Lucas pours me some orange juice. “We helped Dad cook this morning. We have already eaten and cleaned up the pans that were used to cook.” Says Reed.

“All you and Mom need to do is enjoy your breakfast and put the remaining dishes in the dishwasher. Enjoy. We will see you at training.” Lucas adds. They both lean in
