The Dark Lord stood at the periphery of the Magna kingdom. War against the king Aldrich Eversons began. Enemies being aggressive, burst into the kingdom.
Soldiers of Magna tightened their grips on the weapons. Their eyes widened as they saw witches flying towards them on their broomsticks. Although they had encountered witches several times before, having a war against thousands of them at a time was challenging. It was the first time they had a war against magical creatures.
"Dodge this mere human." One of the witches squeaked.
She raised her broomstick, moving upwards and sprinkled a green powder on him.
"Ahhhhhh!" Screamed the soldier as his eyes burned.
He rubbed his eyes trying to soothe them. The witch cackled looking at the struggle. She picked him by one hand and moved upward.
"How dare you touch me, you filthy woman? Put me down!" The man yelled at her.
"You want me to put you down. As you wish, human." She said in a squeaky voice.
She dropped him from a great height. The man screamed in fear. As soon as he hit the ground, the witch set fire in that region.
Other soldiers tried to harm the flying witches with their spears and swords but it was of no use. They weren't even able to touch the witches with them.
All the witches started sprinkling the green power on the troop. Screams surrounded the battle ground. Powder made the eyes burn. Witches grabbed the soldiers and dropped them from a great height, right into the fire. The troop ran back in the opposite direction leaving the battle ground.
Battle ground echoed by the voices of screams and cackles. First day of the war was a hazard by the loss of one eighth of the soldiers and not even a single scratch on enemies.
"Why didn't they use the weapons I created?" Lenn asked, frowning at the head of the soldiers.
"To know how strong our enemy was." Replied a deep voice.
Lenn recognised the voice of his King. He turned around and bowed.
"But his Majesty, we lost many lives today." Lenn reasoned.
"Loss in battle is common. If we had used your weapons today, the enemy would have come prepared for the next battle. We took a step back only to jump four steps ahead." The King explained.
Lenn nodded worryingly. He didn't know how the battle was planned but hoped for the good in the end.

Strategy of stretching the battle for days was working. Enemies were becoming frustrated with not getting enough meals. This affected their battle as well.
Soldiers saw the witches flying towards them on their broomsticks. They tightened their grip on weapons.
"Time to use the special weapons." Head of the troop announced.
Everyone took out the huge round ball. The witches stopped in their tracks and looked curiously at the huge round balls. They thought the army would throw them but seeing them threw the balls on the ground they cackled.
As expected, they weren't aware of the new weapons and continued to strode towards the soldiers. As soon as they reach near the round balls, a sharp silver needle hits them, piercing their scaly skin.
Before they realized what was happening they were turned into ashes. The witches following behind stopped on their tracks suddenly looking at their fellow sisters turning into ashes.
They realized it was all because of the huge round balls placed on the ground. Few of them tried to pass them from a distance, but the round balls covered a huge distance. The needles launching from the balls had a great speed and targeted the witches flying over it accurately.
Some of them got down from their broomsticks and walked towards the soldiers but the profound soldiers slit their necks as soon as they crossed the round balls.
Frustrated, the Dark Lord sent his soldiers towards the enemies. The Magna troop pulled out another weapon and threw it on the ground. This time it was a small metal knitted square piece. The pieces started expanding themselves and connected themselves with the other pieces around it. Soon a huge metal knitted blanket covered the battle ground.
One of the enemy soldiers stepped on it gathering great courage. He smiled looking down as nothing happened. As he turned around to inform his fellow soldiers, he found his ankle being stuck on the metal knitted piece.
Unable to move, he started hitting on the metal, trying to release himself from the clutch, but failed miserably.
The Dark Lord got frustrated looking at the failure of his soldiers. He sent his greatest fifty soldiers forward.
Fifty soldiers came forward and tried to destroy the metal trap. They set fire on it along with one of their soldiers stuck. But couldn't be destroyed.
"I will destroy the one who has made these weapons." The Dark Lord murmured in a frustrated manner.

"His Majesty, you called me?" Lenn bowed to his King.
"The weapons you created have mesmerizing results on the battle ground. We are able to hold the enemies for a longer time than I had thought. So far we are ruling the battle ground. Hoping for the battle to end soon." The King praised Lenn for the weapons he created.
"The enemy seems frustrated, his Majesty." Lenn mentioned that the head of the troop had informed him.
"Indeed."
"I am afraid my weapons can take that much damage. Sorry for my failure." Lenn said, lowering his voice.
"You did your best Lenn. Now it all depends on the fate of Magna." The King said, sighing deeply.
The King very well knew the conditions of weapons as they were becoming weak day by day with all those attacks on them. He knew they couldn't hold back the enemies anymore. He was worried and came to a conclusion.
"I understand. But if only my weap-"
"The battle will be led by me from here onwards Lenn. And I want you to stay away from it." The King interrupted him.
"But King, I might be needed in-" Lenn tried to convince but got interrupted again.
"The Kingdom needs you if we lose the war. Treat this as my command." The King stated.
Lenn bowed to the King in agreement and moved back to his village, Helenton.

Days passed and the enemy still couldn't break the metal trap and the round balls. Rage was building in the Dark Lord. He wanted to crush the kingdom of Manga by any means.
"Lord, they couldn't break the chain either." One of the knights entered the tent to inform him.
The Dark Lord looked at him furiously. He kicked the small table in front of him. Je moved towards the knight and pulled him closer grabbing his collar, furiously.
"They want me to step in the battle ground. Eh?" He said, looking straight into the knight's eyes furiously.
"Then be as they wish." He said, pushing his knight fiercely backward.
He stepped ahead and announced, "You will realize what death is, Aldrich. I was giving you an easy death but it seems like you and your soldiers don't like that. Now be ready to get slaughtered by my hands."
Date: 19th April, 1475 Lenn walked around the room tensed. "Whom are you waiting for Lenn?" Ada asked as she entered the room. "Messenger Adi, to give updates on the war. Past days, I was able to witness the battle being with the King before he ordered me to come back to Helenton." Lenn replied. "I know the situation is out of our hand now. All we can do is pray to god." Ada said. "I know Adi. If only I had made the weapons stronger, if I was there to help them." Lenn said in a lower voice. He was frustrated at himself for being unable to help them. "Don't blame yourself. You did what you could do." Ada solaced. Soon a man in a red cloak came into their sight. Lenn hurried towards him. "What's happening there?" He asked curiously. "Sir Lenn, it's bad news." The messenger said in undertone. Lenn stopped on his track. He looked at him blankly. He couldn't figure ou
Leo starred at the old, earthy coloured leather diary. He experienced mixed sentiments. His face which held an astounding appearance a few moments ago now showed the look of scepticism. He glanced around the basement in confusion. His eyes finally came to settle on Adi. She too held a similar expression as him. The diary had left them speechless for several minutes. "What the hell is this? If this is a prank I am going to sue that person." Leo said annoyingly, breaking the silence. "Why do you think it's a prank?" Adi said, furrowing her brows. She battled in her mind whether to believe in it or not. Her mind made her accept the truth but her heart ached against it knowing the end misery, the blood spattered letter. "Adi, this is complete gibberish. I don't trust it. As I said, it is just a joke. Someone has tricked us. Don't worry, we will figure out how and who thought to execute it. There are numerous antique shops that deal in these
"What was that?" Adi asked Leo. "Let’s check." The two of them strolled up the stairs from the secret basement towards the entrance of their living room. As soon as they reached the last step, they saw a man in black jeans and a black hoodie at the entrance looking ahead, running his fingers to set his hair. "Alex." Adi and Leo called out in unison. Alex frowned at the voice he heard. He searched for the source of the voice. He was certain he heard it came from the mirror in front of him. He began analyzing it curiously. "Is he not able to see us?" Adi asked. "From the way he is behaving, it seems so." Alex was examining the mirror when he saw two grinning faces emerging out from the mirror. He recognized them as Adi and Leo. He was surprised and shocked. He opened his mouth to ask them and he saw both of their eyes widened and Adi yelled, "EMILY NO!" He turned around only to get hit on his forehead and pass
In the middle of the dark walls of the secret basement, stood four figures staring at the ring which was kept on the table. "So," Leo began, which got everyone's attention towards him, "without wasting further time, let us start with our mission." Leo announced. Adi and Vivi nodded at him. "Let us go then." came an over-enthusiastic voice of Alex. "Wait, I want to say a few words for Adi and Leo," Vivi said with a smile. Everyone looked at her curiously. Even Alex didn't know what she was going to say but simply gave her a nod of approval and Vivi began, "I just want to say, whatever we get to know today, I and Alex will be there with you, today and every day. In
"JUST THROW THE PIE." Lenn yelled at the waiter. In this whole yes and no game panic-stricken waiter didn't truly realize that Lenn was just being playful towards Ada and was not serious about it. At the sudden reverberating voice of Lenn, the waiter threw the apple pie on Lenn's face instead of his shirt. Everything seemed very quiet for a brief moment. People watched them with their widened eyes. Soon the silence got replaced by Ada's laugh. Everyone joined her as they weren't expecting the poor waiter to smash the pie on Lenn’s face. Lenn's face had lost all the expression. He was completely blank as he hadn't expected anything like this to happen.
The four figures stood outside the same place they visited in previous memory. Only difference being the house which was now renovated. "Again in front of your past self's house, Leo. What was his name?" Alex said, trying to remember the name. "Lenn" Leo replied as he walked towards the door to enter the house. "The surroundings look different." Vivi commented, looking around the place. "Indeed. The place seemed developed." Adi added. As they entered, they expected to see their past selves, but the house was deadly silent. "Why are we here when there's no one around?" Alex asked. Knowing the impatie
30 days later... In the castle, one of the most faithful knights of the lord came running towards the lord. The Dark Lord sat on his throne with a grave look. Thirty days had passed and there was no news about the couple. He had searched all the places, put a huge bounty on them, threatened people to get the information and even set a whole village on fire to set it as an example for those who supported the couple. But in the end there was no information about them. He was mad at each and every servant around him. He heard footsteps approaching him. Without looking at the person, he said angrily,"If you came here with unpleasant news, disappointing me again then be
Surroundings blurred again. Portal took them back to the year 1750. They tried to acknowledge everything they saw in the previous memory. The memory had blurred their minds. They regretted each second they thought about it. Ominous silence surrounded them. "What does the prophecy imply?" They heard Ana asking Levi, breaking the ominous silence. While returning from the past they had seen a pitch black screen ahead of them. Some bright, silvery words appeared on it. It was the prophecy which Ada had put in the ring when the cruel Dark Lord burned the house along with her, alive. "Is it really pointing us as a couple? I don't see anything specific mentioned about us." Ana asked him as a doubt occurred in her mi
"Adi, ready to leave?" Leo asked her standing outside their room waiting for her."Yes," came a reply from her as she exited the room."Let's meet the King before we leave," he proposed. Adi nodded and followed him. The weapon was securely placed in their bag, so there was nothing to worry about. As they exited the passage, they saw King standing there ordering something to Fredrick. Leo saw King smiling gently at them as they approached."Greetings my Majesty," they both greeted. The King nodded."We will take your leave, our Majesty. As we had informed earlier, we need to get to our mission," Leo said politely. The king nodded, understandingly and said, "I have a few things to discuss with you before you go."Leo looked at him confusingly, wondering what the King wanted to discuss. He didn't want to reveal their real identity to anyone as it might put them into serious trouble. The Ki
White castle was decorated with seasonal greenery, making it a heavenly beauty. It appeared like different colours were splattered on the white canvas in a particular design. It was well illuminated. Huge crowd had begun to gather to get a glance of Royal stone. Moreover, they came to see the brave couple who won the weapon."Leo, what will we wear?" Adi asked, looking at him."We should have brought the clothes yesterday when we were in the market," Leo sighed."Should we go quickly and get some clothes for us and Mick?" She proposed."Sounds like the only option,"They heard a knock on their door, which caught their attention."Yes?" Leo asked
Footsteps making a squeaky sound resonated in the dark passage. The smell of rusting iron bars mixed with blood flared Leo's nose. He looked into the empty cells. They were extremely dirty and had no ventilation either, making one feel nauseous. He frowned at the thought that the King had captivated Mick in these cells for a small crime he committed. He wasn't worried about Mick but it didn't feel right that he was suffering like this."Is Mick in one of these cells?" He snapped back from his thoughts hearing Adi's voice."No my Lady. These are punishing cells. The people who commit the brutal crimes are tortured here. Mr Mick is in the holding cell which is down another floor," The servant replied politely as he continued walking.Adi sighed in relief as she heard those words. She looked at Leo's face who too was now relaxed compared to a few moments ago."He is fine Leo,'' Adi whispered. It didn't feel right speaking
"HOW DARE YOU COME IN FRONT OF ME WITHOUT IT?" Chantal yelled at the two witches in front of her, making them shudder at her squeaky voice."S-sorry Master. W-we didn't know the guards were standing at the edge of the forest." One of the witches said, gulping."You came with the bad news." Chantal whispered. "NOW DIE!" She yelled, moving her hands in the air. Both the witches looked at her horror struck. Chantal set fire on them. Forest echoed with the agonizing cry of the both witches. They stood petrified screaming in pain, helpless.Chantal cursed under her breath, "You will be hunted human. You don't know whom you have a grudge against." She hissed and left the place, flying on her broomstick.*****Leo opened his eyes and found himself on bed, sleeping."ADI!" He screamed and sat straight."I am here Leo," Adi replied calmly, moving her hand above his head. Leo quickly pulled her into his arms and felt re
'Why is the Master so anxious about the thing in the trunk? I wonder what was there that even a mere human dared to enter the forest. Nevertheless, I have to find that man before the Master decides to kill us.' A witcher thought as he flew in the forest, looking for Leo. He wasn't bothered about neither the man nor the stolen thing. Fear made him search for Leo."There he is." The witcher said, looking at a man, carrying a woman on his shoulders."Okay Finn, time for some action." He said to himself and swept towards Leo.He was near Leo, when he heard a sound of two witches approaching the man. He stopped in his tracks and looked at the three people mocking each other."You are here, human. You have caused enough chaos." A witcher hissed."Our master is angry with you. Surrender the thing you stole and we will spare you and your mate." A witch jeered at Leo."Perhaps I feel, Master, is angry with your retardedness."
Adi stared at him with her wide, lifeless eyes. She was shocked as she hadn't expected Leo to shoot her, so did the witch. She looked at Leo horror struck."H-how did you know?" The witch asked, stammering.Adi's body hit the ground and began to melt. Soon the green liquid covered the ground. Leo smirked at the witch."I knew it wasn't Adi after she hugged me. My Adi won't smile after killing someone. Moreover she knows how important the task is for us. She won't argue with me. I didn't know the location therefore I used this shapeshifter." Leo answered."You knew from the beginning about this filthy creature." The witch hissed. Leo smirked at her again."Now, tell me where my Adi is." Leo demanded. Pointing
"Ugh! this place is making me feel nauseous." Adi commented, looking at the strange items scattered on the floor.Items contained nails, hairs, blood jars and other stuff which were so distorted it made one difficult to recognize them. As soon as they entered the hut, a strong rusting smell welcomed them. Hut had two rooms separated by a criss-crossed bamboo partition."I wonder what kind of rituals they practice." Leo said looking at the things, feeling uneasiness."This foul odor is making me uncomfortable. Where is it coming from?" She asked, scrunching her nose, displeased by the strong smell.Leo shrugged looking around and moved towards the other room exploring it."Now we know the source of foul smell
"How far do we need to go?" Adi asked, looking at the huge trees around them."Until we come across something or someone." Leo replied as he continued to walk deeper into the forest."Are we going in the right direction?" She asked again. She never left Leo's side ever since they entered the forest.Fredrick had provided them with sufficient weapons for safety measures. The weapons were effective against the witches. They didn't know how many witches they would encounter in the deep, dark forest. They didn't know if they would return alive from the forest, as the rumors say the forest is home to hundreds of witches.Nevertheless, they had to agree for their last task. Or else they would have to lose the weapon. Adi was tensed hearing about the witches.
Morning arrived with the sound of a carriage approaching the palace. Leo looked outside the window and saw two soldiers getting off the carriage. He wondered where Alfred was. He turned and looked at the yawning face of Mick.“Get back to your cat form, Mr Bones.” He said sternly as he knew he wouldn't listen to him.“But why? Anyways I will be revealing myself in front of the King.” Mick frowned.“Because you won’t be able to leave the palace unless the King gives permission. And we need you to prove that our task was completed.” Leo replied. Mick still looked confused.“Alfred explained the things. No one can exit without the King's permission. Palace is enchanted.” Adi explained.
