Cassandra's POV

I stared out of the window, my mind racing with thoughts and ideas as I pondered on all that had happened with Jason. He seemed genuinely sorry for what he did in the past but I still had no desire to forgive him.

How could he just think that all I suffered could be solved simply because he was sorry? He deserved to pay for what he did to me.

As I played with my engagement ring, a mischievous idea began to take shape in my mind. What if I could make Jason fall for me only to break his heart in the end?

It was a twisted game and something that I wasn't sure that I could do but the thought of seeing Jason's vulnerable side appealed to me. I didn't know much about him but from what I had seen with Ana; when he loved, he loved hard.

Breaking his heart would be the ultimate revenge for all the pain he had caused me in the past. It didn't even seem enough on further consideration but it would bruise him deeply enough.
