Elaine's face went white as she stepped closer to Yoel, her voice trembling. "Who was that?"

"Some nutjob claiming Julianna's dead," Yoel replied, rolling his eyes.

Elaine's heart pounded. She knew exactly who the caller was. "Yoel, you need to check it out," she urged, her voice tight with fear. "I'm scared for her. It's dangerous out there."

Yoel was about to brush her off but saw the genuine worry etched on her face. "Elaine, what's going on? You don't look well."

"I'm fine," she lied. "I just can't shake the feeling that something's wrong. If you don't go, I will."

Yoel sighed, touched by her concern. "You're too good, always worrying about others. Fine, I'll check it out. You stay here and rest."

Elaine nodded, her shoulders relaxing slightly. "Please be careful."

Yoel left, and Elaine quickly ushered her shady friends out before locking herself in her bedroom. She was shaking when the door suddenly burst open.
