Chapter 12: Do You Want Another Chance?

I felt a sense of relief after settling my score with my enemy. It was at that point that Kelly reached out to me and scheduled a meeting at a pawnshop.

I was grateful to Kelly because without her initial investment of six thousand dollars, my revenge plan wouldn't have been able to progress. I would still be struggling to save money for tuition by working part-time.

However, I was puzzled about why she wanted to meet me at a pawnshop. Kelly was a wealthy heiress, so what would bring her to a pawnshop?

The pawnshop we met at was quite different from what I had in mind. It was located deep in an alley, well-lit, and looked no different from the trendy bubble tea shops that young girls frequented.

"Hello... It's you," a round-faced girl with twin ponytails behind the counter greeted me, smiling.

"Do... do you know me?" I asked, feeling an odd sense of familiarity when looking at her.

"It seems like you haven't remembered yet. Wait a moment," she replied and poured me a cup of tea.
