Chapter Thirty Seven

Gabriella paid her bill and left the hotel the same night, Jacinta was distraught and begged her to explain what had happened but she shook her head and hugged her,

‘Thank you for everything you did for me. I have left the dress hung up in my room, it is very beautiful I only wish I could have done it justice. Forgive me but it is better that I leave now and that you know nothing I do not want to put you in any danger. I will go home, there is nothing else here for me’

She was close to tears as she got into the taxi with her small case and a holdall, Jacinta was openly crying,

‘Goodbye, little butterfly but I fear running away will not help you, if he is half the man I think he is he will come after you.’

A couple of hours later Dante’s men knocked on her door, they explained who they were and asked for Gabriella she was furious with them for scaring away the beautiful young woman and snapped angrily at them,
