Chapter One Hundred and Sixteen

She grinned at him then tossed her pretty head,

‘Non fare promesse che non manterrai papà.’ [Don’t make promises you won’t keep Daddy to be.]

He grabbed her to him and kissed her hard,

‘Bambina, credimi, non sto facendo alcuna promessa e lo sai.’ [Baby girl, trust me I am not making any promises and you know that.]

Gabriella giggled and kissed him back before pushing him away,

‘Va bene, bullo, ora vai a fare il tuo lavoro, io ho il mio lavoro da fare.’ [Okay bully now go do your own work, I have my own work to do.]

She was in the process of securing her first two university places for the girls she had taken under her wing, the girls were best friends and it had been their dream to follow their brothers and she was making it possible.
