Chapter Forty Three

She walked out of the day room and went to her bedroom, she refused to cry clenching her fists she told herself she had cried enough over him and it was time to stand on her own two feet. Searching around she found a large holdall and packed the few things she had, it wasn’t much just a few essentials they had sent with her, Dante had been ringing to tell her he had sent some of her stuff over but he hadn’t got to that part.

He told Marcello, the older man who was looking after her for him, that she would calm down in a few days and he would call back then but both of them underestimated her.

She waited for the house to settle that night then got up, she was already dressed in jeans and a hoodie, she pulled on a pair of Vans ankle boots, and a denim jacket, tied her hair up in a ponytail and slipped out of the front door.
