Chapter Fifty-Two: Sorry For Betraying Me?

Marissa's POV

The park was not far from the apartment building. Usually, there would be many children playing, but today, it was empty. It was a school day, so they might have gone to their classes. The sun was hot, but because there were huge trees surrounding the park, it was shaded. The playground was in peace, but I saw a man turning his back while swinging. I furrowed my eyebrows because he was wearing a corporate dress shirt, black slacks, and shoes.

What is a working man doing there, sitting on a swing, like a little child? I shook my head and could just ignore him, so I entered the gate of the playground. The benches were not far from the swing. It would happen to be near the man, but I do not have to regard him, right? While walking towards the benches, I pouted my lips when I saw the man licking a pink ice cream on a cone. Ladies and gentlemen, a pink ice cream!
