Chapter Fifty-Six: Now It Is Ruined

Marissa’s POV

I sipped on the coffee Diego made for me as I watched him wear the apron I owned that he got from the kitchen cabinet. The apron has flowery designs, and it was even color pink. It looked weird in him, but do we even have a choice? It is the only one available and how could I possibly expect that he would be here to cook in my apartment?

Currently, I am sitting on a stool and leaning my arms with my coffee on the countertop. He was opposite to me, but he was standing while he was slicing the ingredients for the adobo he would cook. I saw how fast he chopped and how well he handled the ingredients and the meat he chopped with gentle care and careful seasoning.

“Wow,” I said in astonishment. “Even until now, I still cannot believe that you know how to cook like this. Most rich people do not have interest in things like this because they mostly rely on the work of the household maids.”
