Thirty-Nine

Ravens POV

Time in the Mountain Forest Pack seemed to come to a stop as news of Elijah’s death spread. Pack members surrounded the house a lit candle in their hands as they prayed for him to find peace. It was both strange and heart warming to see as they came to show their respect for their fallen beta. Back home things like this never happened. Nobody gave a rat’s ass if someone died everyone to self involved with their own lives.

It had been three days since the incident and Hollie had finally settled down and was discharged from the hospital. She wasn’t herself which was completely understandable. Her eyes dull and vacant, void of light and life. My heart broke for her, the pain of losing a mate the worst thing one could experience. I may not have liked her in the beginning, but I wouldn’t have wished this on her. I wouldn’t even wish it on my father, and I hated him.
