Forty-One

Mykel’s POV

As pack members filled into the chapel my eyes scanned the room for Hollie. Raven had said she would meet us at breakfast and that she would travel with us. We waited for twenty minutes but when she didn’t show after attempting to mind link her, we decided to head out. Today would be a hard day for us as a whole but I couldn’t begin to imagine the pain Hollie was feeling. I spent the entire journey telling myself that she was ok, that she just needed time and likely wanted to be alone. I just hoped I was right, and she hadn’t done anything stupid.

Once everyone had taken their respective seats the priest took to the podium. I sat in the front row with Lilith and Raven either side of me. Each of their hands in one of my own placed in my lap. I needed their comfort right now and wasn’t remotely bothered who knew it. I may be an Alpha but I’m not heartless man.

As we bowed our heads for the final prayer the doors to the rear of the chapel were flung open as Hollie stumbled in
