I ended up knocking on Anne's apartment door. I knew it wasn't the best timing, but I needed to think about my life. Tyler and Emily have their family, Justin and Jade will soon have children too, and I don't want to continue being alone. I've been treating her so badly lately, unsure of how to act around her. I just wanted to show that she wasn't as important, even though she is. A child wasn't in my plans; I still haven't gotten used to the idea, but thinking about it, having an Olivia all to myself wouldn't be so bad. I'm still scared. I don't know how to act around Cassie now; it's going to be strange. I always knew that despite Anne being liberal, her family, despite having modest wealth, always emphasized traditions like marriage. I know this from the long conversations I've had with Cassie; marriage is a tradition. I'm not into that. I rang the doorbell once more; she already knew it was me and wasn't opening. Only I go up without the doorman interphoning. I rang again
