After unloading all of my feelings onto Scarlett, I find myself feeling much lighter than I had before. I can think clearer and focus on what all I have to do. I know that I have to go and meet him and there is no way around hiding part of me from the rest of the pack. When I walk towards the witch house, I am happy to see that Hazel and Jade are both out by the lake, working on some of their magic. Even though they are no longer novices, they have both been going at their training with renewed purpose. They train just as much now as they did before. It is nice to see them working so hard at the parts of being a witch that they truly love. I am so filled with nerves after our meeting that I cannot quite relax for the night. Even after Dante tries to wear me out I find myself unable to sleep. After tossing and turning for a few hours I decide to get up. It might be time to go and do something that I have still been managing to put off. After talking to Morden, I found that I was able to sleep much better. It might not be the best idea to send her somewhere where she could give away some of our secrets. Still, I have to give her the option to prove to me that she is trying to become a better person. The teenagers did, in fact, try to have a party that the patrols were more than happy to put a stop to. Instead of the patrols ousting themselves and making them go back, they instead used their cunning and managed to scare them. Our break for lunch was not nearly long enough for Amora's liking. I, on the other hand, cannot wait to move forward. I am determined that we are going to be able to camp within a couple of miles of the Luminescence Creek pack by nightfall. Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second. Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute. The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep. Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me.
