Keeping an eye on the teenagers that are doing their survival training is just as entertaining as I had thought it would be. The two that procrastinated when they first arrived are the first two to notice the desperate pangs of hunger. I think that they thought that their parents would sneak them food but when nobody shows up, they begin to worry about what they will eat. Eventually, they break down and begin to set up their camp and find food but not until the hunger is a constant distraction. I have been at that point and it makes somebody make foolish decisions when they are constantly distracted by it. At least they do not have to worry about the possibility of actually starving as we will be there to get them by the time the weekend is over. The other three are doing better but have still faced their share of difficulties. The one that could not find water has had to get creative on they get their water intake all day. Instead of capturing it like the other ones have done, he ma
The first Fast and Furious movie is completely different from any of the other movies I have watched with Dante. I never really watched racing movies when I was a kid because they have always bored me but this had such a great story line that I could not help but be pulled into the movie. The entire time I was watching I was rotting for Brian and Mia to get together. If she had ended up with Vince I might have just broken the television set for the fun of it. I also loved the way that Dom and Letty are still into each other no matter what they are going through. What almost broke me though was when Jess was shot. It was so sad to see somebody die over something that seems as pointless as a lost race with a car grand prize. I had not expected that but then to see the way the movie ended was even more shocking. The cop just lets the bad guys get away because he gets too attached to the family. I understand that part but they were still robbing truck drivers and stealing parts so justice
"Luna, Luna!" I hear in my head while trying to sleep.Groggily, I turn over and look at the clock next to the table. It is 3:00 in the morning. Why am I awake. As I roll over and try to look out the window I hear the voice once again. Somebody is calling me through mind link but what could be going on this time at night?"What is going on?" I ask as I remember that all of the teenagers are going through their survival weekend right now.I jump up and begin getting dressed as I wait for the response. I search through my connection to all of the pack members to try and find a clue while waiting. Shaking Dante gently, I motion for him to get up and get dressed as well."Are you still there? Do you need help? I need to know what is going on!" I command through the mental link as I open it up to Dante as well."He is in the patrol that was heading close to the kids. We should head that way and see what is going on." Dante tells me. I nod my head as the two of us head out of the bedroom an
As we follow the path that the Earth has laid out for me I begin to feel more and more nervous about what we might find. I cannot access the boy's mind to find out what he is seeing or doing. It is almost like it was shut down from his end somehow. The only time that I have ever seen this happen is when Quin was attacked and we could not locate him. It is extremely difficult to block Alphas, Lunas and Mates so it hardly ever happens. We might not infringe on their privacy often but to be completely cut off is disconcerting."Do you know where we are heading?" Dante asks me worriedly as they all follow my lead."It seems like we might me heading towards the small waterfall that we have this way but I cannot tell for sure. This is the area that butts up against the witch's land so I am not as familiar with it." I tell him."Right, we will have to increase patrols around here and have it more thoroughly explored." Dante tells me. I nod in agreement as we continue our trek towards the f
Now that we know that the missing teenager is really just an attempt for two young people to hook up against their family's wishes, I am more than happy to go back to bed and get some sleep. That is not going to be an option though as the witch is caught once again at the border between the two lands. Apparently she cannot sneak back into the house without getting caught."How were you planning to get back before?" I ask her sleepy as I approach her slowly."I had not really thought it out. Most likely I would have stayed out all night and not gone back until the morning." She admits.Wow, sneaking out at night for a tryst with no way to sneak back in. I know I never got the opportunity to sneak out but I am sure that that is one of the basic principles for sneaking out when younger. "Alright, I can get you back in without anybody noticing. You have to make sure that you do not tell anybody that I helped you though." I tell her.She nods her head and I begin to send my thoughts into
Staying the night in the Moon Blessed Witch house was quite the surreal experience. For the first night since I met Dante I stayed in a separate bed without any outside influences. Even when I was staying with Elle it was just so that I could train in order to protect my family. I never really felt like there was much of a choice before then. Knowing that I am not being influenced by anyone or by circumstances makes me feel liberated and quite more at peace about sleeping in this bed alone. I do not feel forced or even as lonely as I might have expected. It might have been more difficult to fall asleep if I was not quite so tired but in all honesty I was asleep before I hit the pillow. Waking up was a little more strange. It is much later than I normally sleep but that is not all that surprising considering my night. I really did not sleep much with all of my nighttime adventures. This will also help to keep all of the witches on their guard knowing that I woke up in my room this mo
I follow Elle to the side of the house and she shows me a small door that leads to a set of stairs going to the basement. Somehow, I have never quite noticed it up until now. I must have walked passed it at least a dozen times without ever seeing it. Going down the stairs, I am first greeted by the darkness in the basement. I am fairly sure that the lights are on down here but the walls and floors are so dark that it is impossible to tell if the lights are on for sure. Why would anybody want to stay in a room that is so depressing?"Who is there?" I hear Morden say from what must be across the room."You know, if your room was a little brighter you would be able to tell without us announcing ourselves. You would actually be able to see us." I point out."Ah, must be the usurper. Not surprised to see you down here. Finally remember me after all of this time?" She asks with disdain."What are you doing down here acting like this? I thought that you were going to help advise me." I tell
"Alright ladies, here is what we are going to do. We have the house done, we have the garden growing strong, so what else is missing?" I ask the witches at large while we are all standing in a circle outside. Some of them throw me dirty looks but nobody tries to answer my question."What I think is missing is some pretty landscaping. Maybe some more flowers or even a nice lake that we can all sit and relax by. I propose that we make this into a friendly competition. We are going to make a gorgeous lake for us all to sit by that has plenty of plant life to keep the water clean. I want some furniture for us to sit on by the lake as well. It better be the most relaxing lake that anybody has ever been to by the time we are done with it." I tell them. One of the witches walks forwards and says snidely, "If this is a competition then why are we all building the same thing? Shouldn't we try to make our own ponds to see who wins?" "We are all going to have a section. You will each be in grou
