Rufus's POV

I was shocked to see Selena walk through the door earlier. I had stepped away from my own pack for just a day, hoping for a little peace. With my relatives around, it felt like everyone was eager to take on the role of my advisor, which is one of the reasons I don't like having them around.

I let out a sigh as I shifted my eyes to the window, the sky was slightly brighter.

I shifted my eyes from the window and to Selena who leaned in my arms.

I lowered my head and kissed her cheek, "Aren't you sleepy?"

Selena shook her head and looked at me with clear eyes.

My mind moved, and i kissed the corner of her eye again, "Why did you suddenly come."

She shrugged. "I’m not sure. Maybe it’s because you mentioned missing me. Or perhaps it’s Meeka; she seemed a bit restless and wanted to be here."

Upon hearing her word, a warm wave of affection washed over me. "I really appreciate you coming."

Selena smiled, her fingers playing with my collar. "Of course! But what made you come to B
