Episode 11

Selena's POV

I made my way towards the stairs leading to my room when Rufus called out my name in his deep voice, "Selena."

His tone was calm.

"Huh?" I glanced over at him.

To be honest, i love the way he pronounced my name.

I love the sound of it rolling off his tongue.

I cleared my throat softly and replied, "Yes!"

"I want to try the food you cooked tonight."

He said as he handed his suit jacket to the butler, his black eyes scanning my face.

Not only was i surprise, but also the butler who was beside the corner was also stunned as I could see his eyes wide opened.

I blinked and asked the butler, "Do we have poached chicken in the house?"

"Yes," the butler quickly replied.

"I'll go change first and then come down to make something, okay?" I told Rufus.

Rufus nodded.

"Alright!"

I turned and headed up the stairs. After changing, I went back to the kitchen to make hainanese chicken rice.
