Chapter 3

Ouch ouch I feel pain everywhere, Adelaide moans out painfully.  I open my eyes lightly to check if they are still around but God being so good, they have all left.

I sit on the floor and wait for my breathing to become stable before I stand up to close my door to avoid any intruder or bully.

I know it will take about a month for my broken ribs and other bruises to heal but what I forgot was that in two days time I will be able to shift into my wolf form and I will be meeting my wolf for the first time.

That will also allow me to  heal faster and easier. I manage to walk to my kitchen eat and after take some pain reliever to aid my healing process.

I go back to sleep since I can't do any profitable thing in my condition. I dream about my wolf and surprisingly, I can't see the color of my wolf. woke panting but I can't even remember what happened exactly in my dream.

I wake up the next day in a very happy mood because tomorrow I will be shifting the next day and I'm very happy.

I skip happily to the pack house and perform all my chores to prevent getting involved in any problem with anybody.

I leave for my cottage and prepare a sumptuous meal for myself as a pre -shifting celebration. I go to bed very early that day to get enough energy for tomorrow. 

Exactly 12:00am in the morning, I  start to feel sharp pain in my limbs and every part of my body.

The pain I'm feeling right now is  severe than anything I have ever felt. But I have made my mind to go through this pain just to be able to meet my beautiful wolf and also my mate.

My bones crack and morph into my wolf form. I run into the forest and stand infront  of  a lake to look at my wolf and surprisingly, I'm a White Wolf.

White wolves are the only wolves blessed by the moon goddess to have abnormal healing powers, and also they are able to control the 5 elements (wind, water, fire, Earth, wind).

As I stand there admiring my wolf and thanking the Moon goddess for her blessings, I hear a sweet voice speak beside me.

Are you happy with my gift Adelaide, the beautiful lady asked me.  You are the moon goddess right, I asked her.

Yes my dear and you can call me Selene . I bow to her but stops me and tell me to sit next to her as she has something very important to tell me.

Now Adelaide, I know you are wondering why I'm here today and also why I gave you those gifts right. I nod and she smiles while patting my head.

I gave you those gifts because you are the blessed one and also you have a very big destiny to fulfil.

The path to your destiny is not smooth but I have also blessed you with a mate who will love and support you immensely.

Do not listen to what people will  say but rather listen to your heart . I will be leaving now but I will remind you once again, you have a very big destiny to fulfil.

She vanishes into thin air and I also transform back into my human form and walk back to my cottage in happy mood.

But what the moon goddess said about my mate and destiny is still bothering me and making me giddi just to find my mate.

I get back to my bed to continue my sleep as tomorrow is the starting day of our packs mating festival.

This festival is for newly shifted wolves to find their mates and also for them to mate.

I wake up in high spirits because it's possible that I will meet my mate today and that feeling is making me too happy.

Our mate is also eager to find us too, my wolf Amira tells me. I know right, we are too cute and lovable for him to hate and reject us, I said cheekily.

Yes  asy heard, i have a friend and companion now. Her name is Amira, my wolf.

My wolf , Amira helps me to mask my scent as I don't want anyone to know my secret of being a White wolf.

The moment I get to the palace , im shocked to find out that almost everybody is up and preparing for the event. 

I enter the kitchen and the head chef shouts at me for being late and also ask me to start washing the dishes.

Hurry up foolish girl, don't you know the King of werewolves will be visiting the pack today, the chef says.

Whattt, I shout in my head and my wolf chuckles. I run quickly to the sink to start cleaning the dishes . 

I will make sure to finish early today and go back to the cottage before the demon arrives here.
