Chapter 2

What kept you that long at the dinning hall. Did you cause any trouble there, she asked. 

No please. Good, then take the cleaning equipment and clean all the unused rooms in the pack house.

We will be receiving visitors from different packs next week so we have to make sure that the place is spotless before they arrive. 

She leaves for her house after telling me my task for the day. The moment she's  gets out of the room, I sit down on the bench to get some rest.

I pray that the rooms wouldn't be too dirty so that I can go back to my cottage to rest. I have been feeling sick for a week now and that's making me weak.

I start cleaning the attic to the third floor. The rest of the floors are occupied by the alpha's family, beta's family ,gamma's family and other pack members. 

By the time I finish, I'm weak to the point that I can't even walk well. I send the tools back to the kitchen and make my way back to my cottage.

I smile and inhale fresh air as soon as I get out of the pack house. I pray that nothing will get in my way till I reach home but that was my wishful thinking.

I hear noises as I get close to my cottage but I can't pinpoint those talking because I haven't shifted yet.

I will be 18 this weekend and that's the only thing that keeps me going as a human. After I shift, I will be able to meet my mate and also my happily ever after.

I know and believe that my mate will surely bring me the love and happiness I deserve.

The moment I hear the noises , I try to make a run for a different direction but the shifted ones among them turn to my direction making me stand stiff at one place.

Where do you think you are going to, Leon the beta's son ask me. I start to shiver and cry because I know the that the biggest bully after the Alpha's son is Leon.

Will you answer me and stop that fake and disgusting tears from falling. Or dou you want me to help stop it for you, he threatened.

No, no I will stop . I cleaned my face and looked down, because I have being warned not to look into the eyes of anyone because I don't deserve that honor.

Now I'm asking you once again, where the fuck were you running to , he asked again.Nowhere please, I panicked when I heard your voices that's why I tried to run, I replied timidly.

Ooh, so now you have the guts to run away from your daily dose of punishment right Caleb the gamma's son ask me.

No please, I'm sorry. It won't happen again. Ohh my dear it surely won't happen again , Caleb said menacingly.

He kicks my left ribs and I fall down as another bully also kick my other side. They beat me up mercilessly till I black out.

Leon it's ok  let's leave her. We will return tomorrow to continue, and you know that if she dies, we won't get a new Omega for the dirty chores of the pack.

They leave a blacked out Adelaide in the room and they take their separate ways to their houses.

Where did you go, I have been searching for you for hours now, Collins ask Leon. I'm coming from the weak omega's house.

Ooh ok, is she dead yet, Collins asked. No, she's still alive, we can't afford to lose our punching bag and also the only working tool of the pack, he answered deviously.

I know right, we can't afford to lose our little Omega now.  Tell Caleb to meet me at our base this evening and no one should disturb me now, I have a date with Lucy so I'm leaving .

I hear but remember that we will be having visitors from different packs next week so we have a lot to do. So I would advise that you forget about Lucy for now and finish our preparations first.

Don't worry bro, I will be here on time before the preparation starts. But please cover up for me if dad ask about my whereabout ok.

I will, but please make sure to be here on time. You know about your father's temper.

I hear ok, stop the nagging and go inside before someone sees me going out. Collins drives his car out to meet Lucy for their date but is disappointed but Lucy is not at home.

Where did you say she has gone to, he asked Kate, Lucy's sister. She went out with her friends for shopping.

They are going to buy new clothes for the festival next week, she told him. Then when she arrives, tell her that I was here. Ok, I will do so .

Collins takes out his phone and dials Leon's number. Yeah hello,You and Caleb should meet me at our base now. Didn't you say you have a date with Lucy, Leon asked.

Yes I did but she ditched me for her friends. Ohk then I call tell Caleb to meet us there bye. Collins hanged up the call and drove his car to me his friends at the base.
