Chapter two: Jenna meets Kun Xiao

     Nigel's House

     "You still haven't found her," Nigel ranted. He wasn't having any what his guards were telling him. "I don't think she's alive sir. It's been weeks." One of his guards said. "It only been two months, you fool", Nigel said as he hit him with a book. " I know she's alive. I can feel it. Make sure you find her and when you do, I'll make sure she meets her doom", he said with determination.

     Kai's House

    Kai was seated in the living room discussing with Kun when they heard a loud crash. "What was that?", Kun asked. "We're both seated here, how am I to know?", Kai replied and stood up. Kun also stood up but Kai stopped. "And where do you think you're going?", Kai asked angrily. "Mei met her already. Why won't you let me meet her", Kun asked, pouting. "Don't even think about it ", Kai said and glared at him.

     When Kai got to the hallway, he saw Jenna standing in a corner and a enormous vase broken to shards. "What happened here?", he asked angrily but got no response. "Are you guys deaf?", he added. "I...I...I accidentally bumped into her causing her to fall back against the vase", A maid said.

     "Accidentally?", Kai asked. That was the only thing he heard in the maid's statement. "You expect me to believe it was accidental?", Kai asked and his guards grabbed the maid immediately. " Okay, it was accidental. You do know that you have to compensate me right?", Kai said and the maid nodded fearfully. "Good", Kai said. "I want your wrist", Kai added and smiled. Jenna wanted to say something, to stop him but she was too scared to talk. She crouched and started to cry. Kai noticed her and told the maid to get lost.

     Jenna didn't stop crying, she was frightened. "You really have to control the water works", Kai said and crouched to her level. He tried to touch her but she shrieked and pushed him away. She ran to the room and locked the door. Kai sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "Nice going, Arjun", Kun said with disgust. Apparently he had been eavesdropping. Kai ignored him and followed Jenna.

     He knocked on the door but she didn't answer him. "Jenna, please open up", He said but Jenna didn't reply but kept crying. "You're just like him", She said and sniffled. "I wished I had died before you saved me. I wish I didn't make it. Kai sighed and signaled to a guard to open the door. Few seconds later, the door was open and Kai entered.

    "It wasn't my intention to scare you. And I am not like Nigel", He said and sat on the floor next to her. "When I was little", he began. "My dad would hit my mom sometimes for no reason at all. Then he would apologize to her and say it was accidental. He didn't mean to hurt her. I had to watch my mom get beaten everyday. There was nothing I could do", he sighed and continued. "Since then,I believe that there is nothing done accidentally. And what we do accidentally is most times what we want to do in our subconscious state", he added and faced her. "Do you really think I'd save you only to hurt you?", He asked and Jenna sniffled. He pulled her into a hug and she hugged him back.

     He pulled away and looked at her face. She was smiling. "It's been a while since I've been hugged. It felt so nice", She added. "If that's the case, I'll hug you everyday", Kai said and they both laughed. "By the way, Mei said she's coming today and my brother wants to meet you", Kai said expecting a reaction. "You have a brother?", Jenna asked. "A little brother ", he replied. "Let's go, he said and they went downstairs.

     "Wow, she's a beauty", Kun said immediately he saw Jenna. "I know", Mei said. "Jenna , meet my little brother Kun. Kun, this is Jenna, you've finally met her", Kai said and sat next to Kun while Jenna sat next to Mei.

     Kun was a replica of Kai except that instead he didn't have a white hair, his was red. "It's nice to meet you, Jenna", Kun said and smiled. "It's nice to meet you too", Jenna replied. "How have you been coping with my weirdo of a brother." Kun said. "He's a handful, I know", he whispered and Jenna laughed. "He has a terrible personality, but don't worry", Mei said. "You'll get used to it", she added. "Wow, you guys are shading me in my presence. You've got some nerve", Kai said. "Would you rather we do it behind your back", Kun asked. "Besides, it's not like it isn't true. You are weird", Mei added.

     Jenna couldn't stop laughing. They were so funny. She was jealous, she wished she had siblings she could argue with. The way they laughed together, they were so happy. Jenna almost cried. The scene was just so beautiful. "Jenna, if he tries anything funny just give me a call", Kun said. "Are you trying to make a move on her?", Kai demanded. "You're not interested in her", Kun said. "Are you?", He asked suspiciously. Mei bursted into laughter and Jenna couldn't help but join her.
