Alice

I could not sleep well.

An uneasy feeling consumed me in the night, so much so that I left the room so as not to disturb Enya. I had gotten to share a room with her, so I didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

Enya had done too much for me, so the least I could do was let her rest. With that, I put on a robe over the pajamas I was wearing and went out to sit in one of the chairs in the back garden.

There, I stared up at the sky and wondered what other adversity would have to happen.

Don't be so pessimistic, Alice. Selene said gently.

"It's very easy to be pessimistic if too many things happen to you; right now, I have a power I can't control, you can't go out to take care of me because that might hurt the baby and Stefan might show up. There's too much going on and I feel like something could go wrong."

That doesn't mean you're pessimistic, Alice. The best thing you can do is learn from the sorceresses so you can defend yourself and know what to fight with if that bastard Stefan
