"No news from Jackson?" I asked Enya for the umpteenth time that week.

It was the end of the second week since the Alpha had left, which generated not only bewilderment but also uneasiness in me. Every day, the anxiety to see him increased, yet I drained some of it with each of the practices I had to do.

"No, not yet; he agreed to let me know if something bad happened; otherwise, we must wait for his arrival. I am fully confident that he hasn't come because he didn't think it was convenient or safe," Enya answered truthfully as she finished chopping some potatoes for lunch. "You have to be patient and focus your energy on learning the lessons, as well as taking care of your feeding properly. You have a baby girl in your belly; you have to take extra care of yourself."

Enya was saying this because, to some extent, she had asked for an appetite.
