Of all the things I could have thought would happen to me, I never imagined anything like this.

From her expressions, Amelia looked brave, but it was obvious that she was very afraid, something that Amalia expressed without any shame whatsoever. She didn't trust anything; she saw all of us as if we were going to attack her, and I cursed those who made innocent girls only 15 years old have to go through that.

That made me realize that Alice wasn't that old, that she was a young girl too, and that I would have too much on my hands with this. The words just wouldn't come out. Part of me was afraid that this would be detrimental to Alice, but my sense of duty and loyalty told me that I had to keep that old promise I had made to the late Luna of the West Pack.
