“Ahh, it hurts, I can feel my bones breaking,” Adriana complained in pain and her bones made a different sound of cracking and as she shifted gradually, the sharp teeth coming out, it was excruciating and she finally transformed into a big white wolf just the exact color of her father's wolf side.

“Adriana, nice to meet you, my name is Whix, your wolf.”

“It took you forever to reveal yourself, I thought that I will never shift into a werewolf.”, Adriana spoke to her wolf form.

“Let us just say this is how the moon goddess works, I will give you possession of your body soon, I need to do some running in the woods.”

“There is no problem about that okay? Just go on and also we are ready to carry out a mission.”

“Yeah I know about that, the traitors who killed your family were built in your mind so I know how you think, let us save the revenge for a later day as we enjoy the woods tonight, it Is a full moon you know?” Whix said to her.

Whix finally allowed Adriana to take full control of her body as she was naked on the floor.

“Hey, kid, I heard this is your first turn, I got you clothes, wear them and come with me to the pack, so we can fit you in.”

Adrian felt so weak to move, so he had to carry her in his arms, the beta of the nightwalker, his name is Leo, Jeremy's uncle.

The next morning when she woke up she was shocked to see Jeremy in the room with her, ”What are you doing here?”

“You are always crazy even when waking you up in the morning.”

“Oh I hate you, Jeremy, someone please come take him out of here, he is making me pissed.”

Jeremy scoffed, ”You so ungrateful, my uncle had to bring you to the pack and I let you sleep in my room, I think I should have let passers-by see you naked in the woods.”

“Wait for a second, are you telling me you are a wolf?”

“Find out yourself.” Jeremy shifted with just his eyes as it turned yellow, she opened her mouth wide in shock.

“But how?”

“I know you are a wolf a long time ago but you not being able to detect me, I could only say to myself, maybe she hasn't shifted, now you have shifted, you can easily sniff out a wolf.”

“Wow, so does that mean Laura is a wolf, like your mate?”

“Yes, she is.”

“Whiz can you hear this?” She spoke to her wolf form.

“Oh Adriana, I am so tired, why do you have to wake me up, you were so dumb not to realize your best friend is a wolf.”

“Shut up whix.”

“Okay fine, you on your own and I am not smelling anything for you, in case your sniffing training starts.”

“You wouldn’t do that.”

“Hey, seems you having a good time talking with your wolf part, what's her name?”

“Whix.”

“Mine name is Gue, I will be leaving you to have more rest because we will be having a run soon, I hope you and Whix are ready?”

“Hey no, I am not going running with her, she is rude.”

“I am not rude you know, you just, okay, I am sorry Whix, please run with me today.”

“Okay sure, I will run with you, but let me rest too, you also need a rest.”

“Yes we are ready and it is so great to be among your pack’”

Adriana took it and drank from it, she started feeling so strange asking,”” What is this you have given me to drink?”

“No aunty, this is not fair to me, this is wrong, I need my powers back.”

“Soon you will understand I just save you from instant danger cause I know you so well, you might forget yourself and want to make use of a spell at the moment you found yourself, I will be leaving now, will visit you through a means, I do not want them to know I am a witch but I believe in you that you will not fail me.”

“Aunty.” They hugged.

“Where is Xavier?” Alpha Collen, his father, asked Xavier's friend.

“Oh, he went for a run as usual alpha.”

“That is what he always does, it seems he doesn't know the meaning of finding himself a mate urgently, his 25th birthday is fast approaching and yet there is no mate, I do not want the old custom to take place.”

“Alpha, let us give it a last shot on his birthday coming up soon, the moon goddess can favour him with a mate then.”

“I really hope what you said is true but still we need to have a backup plan for my son, what do you think?” Alpha added.

“What kind of backup plan do you have?”

“I want us to find a she-wolf to act as his mate, for now, just in case his birthday never turns out well, can you handle it for me? Beside is to make your friend happy and free from the custom.”

“That's very smart Alpha, I will keep this as a secret between the both of us, I will start searching for a good and strong she-wolf.”

“Father,” Xavier said after shifting back to a human and Stefan gave him clothes to wear.

“Xavier, what’s your plan in finding a mate?” He asked him.

“Father, give the moon goddess time, I guess she knows what exactly she is doing, who knows maybe my mate hasn't met her wolf yet and she does. We will definitely meet each other, so this should not worry you, father, or the pack.” Xavier gave encouraging words to his father who said,” Seems you are blind to what is going on presently, other packs are getting more powerful than us, do you know why? Most of the alphas have gotten a mate and having the moonstone might not save us from them.”

“I heard you father but what should I do? I cannot create a mate for myself and you know that my birthday is fast approaching father, let's talk more about the celebration and less talk about mates, what do you think?”

“I will do everything possible for you to finally get your mate, okay, I will leave you with Stefan and Stefan do not forget about it.”

“Yes alpha.”

He left and Xavier looking so confused said to him,” What am I missing here?”

“A birthday surprise I guess, let's get back to the house, you look so rough to me right now, if your mates finds you like this, I guess she is going to reject you.”

Xavier finished having his bath and looking at himself in the mirror saying,” Mirror on the wall, please can I know who my mate is? My pack and father are all after me on this issue of getting a mate.”

“How I wish this could really work for me.”

“It won’t work dumb head.” His wolf form responded.

“I never asked for your opinion Red, so kindly keep it low.” He spoke to his wolf form.

“Why am I even talking to you when you can not find us a mate?”

“I am trying so hard to find her and please I need a free mind without hearing the word mate.”
