Meeting His Mate

“There is no way I am giving you a free mind until you get us a mate, period.” His wolf side spoke.

“You know what? Why don’t just you come out from me and search for her yourself, I think that will be better.”

“You are totally useless, just stop talking to me,” Red added.

“Better off, just do not say a word to me, I need to rest for now, and make sure you get prepared for tonight's race, we can not let the alpha of the snowpack beat us tonight.”

“I will be ready, we must remain the strongest alpha,” Red said before keeping shut as he looked elsewhere.

Alpha Collen was seen sitting with some of the elders of the pack and they talked about so many things going on between their packs and other packs, but yet their pack was still powerful.

“But I will not lie to your alpha, majority of the people are talking about your son Xavier, some said maybe the moon goddess is angry with him or might have laid a curse on him.”

“He is right Alpha, why do we not engage in cleansing to wash off every curse that must have been placed in his life. we need to find a witch or something.”

"Silence!" He barked. Be was tired of their frequent nagging.

“Will you stop talking? Have you forgotten that I am still here, how dare you to talk about my son in that manner?” He spoke angrily in his alpha voice and they all kept quiet pleading with him saying,” We are sorry, we do not mean to make you angry, we never talked about your son, just the rumor we heard thet is currently going on.”

“My son is going to get a mate soon, like he said, maybe she has not met her wolf yet and when she does they will meet, who knows it might be on his birthday they are going to see each other.”

So, quite having side talks because I am not a fan of it. I might loose my temper. And I am struggling not to," he saw the terror in their faces and he decided fo speak in a mild voice.

I know my son would find his mate" he added.

“I hope so too, I think on his coming birthday we should make it look like a big feast, and invite more packs to attend the party bringing in everyone, I guess that will also make it easy for him to meet his mate, what do we think about it?”

“Yes that is right, we need to invite more packs to attend the party.”

“Tell the person in charge of inviting everyone to make it mandatory for all packs to attend.” Alpha gave an order and one of them took an excuse to carry it out immediately.

“I believe there is no matter arising right?” He asked.

“One more thing alpha, there is something that is happening, what if the witch you killed in the past laid a curse on your family, who knows it could be the reason your son is not having a mate, it may be a punishment for the sins committed by us in the past.”

“Yes, you are.”

“Take your leave now, this meeting is over and all preparation should be about Xavier's birthday, it should commence immediately.” He added taking his leave and no one dares to talk about the rumor or the past for the knowledge he can easily rip out the heart of anyone who tries to disobey him.

Alpha Collen was seen in his Chamber drinking wine and thinking about everything that just took place and he asked himself,” Is the moon goddess really punishing my son by not giving him a mate? I think that's selfish of her, we owe the moonstone meaning we have her full guidance and protection, moon goddess please grant my son a mate so when I leave this earth tomorrow, I will know my bloodline is continuing and ruling the moonstone pack.”

He sip everything into his mouth when his phone rang, checking the caller. It was a call from the office,” Hello boss.”

“Yes, are there any issues at the office?”

“Yes boss, some men came in today asking some questions about the woods and I know they might be related to the wolf hunters setting out traps in the woods.”

“I hope we are not getting wolf hunters in here, what you should do is this, get some good spy to follow them and give me a daily report of their business here. I do not want any wolf hunter coming to my son's big day, hope we got that?”

“Yes boss, the presentation went well today so I was thinking of bringing the document to your home so you could sign them.”

“Do not worry, I will be at the company tomorrow and I will take out my time to sign each paper and congratulations for doing a good job during my absence and my son.”

“That reminds me, sir, many of the clients have been asking to do business with your son, I know he is still searching for his mate but he can't just let it affect the company, the company is still as important as the pack cause they are in line together.”

“Xavier will come to work when he is ready to do so, so I need to end this call now. If there is anything important for me to go through, forward it to my mail.”

“Okay, sir Collen and do have a great rest.” She ended the call as he kept his phone.

Going to the bedroom to have a rest, his Luna came in saying,” I knew you will be here, love.”

“I thought you were attending the Snowpack Luna party?”

“It looks so boring to me so I decided to come home.”

“What do you mean by boring? Is there something going on, I know you love, they must have said something that has got you pissed at the party.” He said bringing his Luna close to him as they both sat on the bed, he caressed her hair saying,” Tell me what took place.” He requested.

“You know her son just found his mate, during the party, you need to see the way he introduced her son to me. She also made a mockery of my son saying, ``I feel bad for your pack that your son is yet to find his strength.”

“Seems the rumors are real, you do not need to worry about them, I promise you our son is going to get his mate on his birthday and we will no longer be the gossip of the town.”

“Thank you, love, I just remembered something. I had a terrible nightmare. It was like the ex-alpha heir brought an unexpected attack to our pack. Many died. I am so scared. Is it because a powerful witch died? We are met to suffer.”

He stood up feeling so uncomfortable then he said to her,” I don't ever want you to speak negative things in here or make a reference to the past, we should be focused on the present and there is nothing that can destroy this pack, we are in the possession of the moonstone, the moon goddess is with us.”

Adriana was seen getting ready for the race game when Jeremy came to meet her saying,” Hey wolf.”

She used her fist on him and he was able to dodge it as they both engaged in serious combat but Jeremy classified it as training her.

“Wow, you are so strong just like the way I pictured it.”

“You are still annoying best friend, I should have poured the bear on your face the other day.”

“Maybe I would not have helped you out of the woods, you know I am my uncle's favorite, he will listen to me.”

“Just guess, I will make sure I steal your spot, making sure I beat your ass down.”

“I should be frightened, but you do not scare me even if you are ten times stronger.”

“Yes he is right Adriana, you are always aggressive in every little thing, he calls you a wolf and you start a fight, are you not a wolf?”

“Oh shut up Whisk and do not say a word.”

“You know what girl, you are the definition of rude itself, I will see how your regular strength can defeat him now mostly when his wolf can bring you down.”

Adriana fell on the ground and Jeremy said, “I won you and it was quite easy, you better make peace with your wolf side and stop acting all rude, you are a girl and can not change that fact.” he advised.

“Just go to hell please but great fight, I promise you next time, I will be the one beating your ass out.”

“I will be waiting but before then, let's get ready for the race in the pack, it starts in at least twenty minutes.”

“Sure, see you then,” Adriana said getting up her feet when she saw her eyes through the mirror.

“Can you stop doing this when?”

“Sorry, just getting ready for the race, if I should leave you to yourself, you might lose again just like the way you lost to Jeremy so just agree, you need me.”

“Fine, you won, I need you sometimes and not everything, there is a clear difference.”

“Whatever, there is no point arguing with you but anyway, when are you finding our mate? After the next full moon, the heating season for us will be starting soon, I hope you know that?” her wolf form asked her.

“Sorry to disappoint you, finding a mate right now is not my problem, after the race, I guess I will be on duty today, care to work with me tonight?”

“I hate you girl.”

“And I love you, wolf,” Adriana said laughing as she walked to the very spot the others were getting ready for the race.

Adriana saw Jeremy and his girlfriend kissing, she also wished she could have her first kiss.

Everyone was cheering and screaming saying,” Xavier is going to win this race again.”

“I love Xavier, he is so cute both as a wolf and human, he is damn huge, why did I not get mated with you?”

“Not just you but the others are saying the same thing you know, I wish we could just have a nightstand together and feel his well-built body.” The females of the other pack who came to watch the race kept fantasizing about having Xavier.

“Let's stop wishing because he can never be ours, I guess the moon goddess has kept his mate to meet him soon, I must say his mate is damn lucky to have a cute dude as hers alone”

The race got finished and instantly, he shifted back into a human, and his clothes were given to him.

“I told you, Collins, I will win you on this.''Xavier boasted of his ability to always win.

“I know we will always win Xavier, great teamwork.” Red said to him and he replied to the wolf form saying,” We are the best teammates ever.”

“Yeah but I still won you, you know why, my mate was cheering for me and here she comes to tell me something good.”

Collina's mate came hugging him saying,” You did well love and you may have lost to others but you won to me.”

Xavier got angry as his eyes glowed but he cautioned Red saying,” It's not worth our range, I know soon we will find our mate.” Then, Red became cool.

“I am happy for you Collins, do not worry on my 25th birthday coming up soon, I will be meeting my mate.”

“That's what you always say at each birthday party, but I love your courage. Let's see if the moon goddess will be on that day.” Xavier was getting angry and the only solution for him right now is to go to a place to cool his head.

“Thank you, Collins, I think I got some important things to do, hope we race some other time.”

“Sure Xavier.”

Xavier informs his best friend Stefan that he would love to have a long drive and will be back when his head is called, it's not a new thing for him anyway.

After a long drive, he was so far from his town and packed at a bar but something took place, Adriana was about to enter the bar for her shift when her wolf and the wolf of Xavier said the word,” MATE!!!!”
