Going After Her

Adriana took off to the woods holding her chest as she breathes heavily.

"There is no way I can do this, I need to cool off a bit." She spoke to herself.

"What did you just do? Are you even in your right senses? Our mate just said hi, what you should have said is hello, idiot." Whix got so angry at Adriana.

"I am sorry Whix, but I was just too nervous, what do I do now? I just fooled myself with my actions by running right?" She asked biting her nails.

"Yes you did and it's even worse right now, your attitude might read another meaning to him now, he will feel rejected by his mate, I guess you are happy now." Whix got vexed at this.

"I am not, I feel so sorry for him, I can't go back there now, it will look somehow, let me just sit here in the woods and wait for him to leave, maybe another day when we cross part, I will apologize to him," Adriana added talking her seat on a rock.

"I hate you now." Whix started making some loud disturbing noises and just to punish Adriana for her actions for running away.

"Please stop making those sounds in my head, it's disturbing." She cried out holding her head.

"Now you see how I feel for running away from our mate just like that." Whix voiced out and continued making a noise to disturb Adriana thinking.

"You are lucky aunt Sarah locked my powers, if not I would have shut you up with it." She threatened her.

"Oh, I am glad she did, human."

"Now can you shut up now, I need to think now."

"Fine I will let you think but make sure you bring me closer to my mate, heat season will be starting soon enough and then your urge will be very high, so better think of how you work things with him so marriage rites can take place, I told you a piece of my mind."

"I heard you and thank you, Whix." Adriana groaned out Loud.

"Sweet lord, what I just did is insane, how can I face him now?"

Adriana started racking her brain to think of a means to make this up with her just found mate she ran from.

While at the bar, Xavier is still confused about his mate running from him, he walked straight to his car to see for himself if he got some dirt on his face that made her run off just like that, yet he found nothing disappointing on his face.

"Am I too ugly for her? Hell no, many ladies in the pack confess how cute I am and how they wished the moon goddess fated us together, this is so humiliating for an alpha like me, an alpha of all alphas, I should never have taken those steps to approach her, never," he said out in regrets.

"What are you going to do now Xavier? Do not tell me you want to leave?" Red started talking to him again.

"What do you think I do? Go back to her the second time and watch her reject me again? Hell no, I guess the moon goddess made a mistake somewhere." Xavier said out with no excitement found in his face.

"For our sake, just go talk to her again, if she says no, we leave in shame going back home, what do you think of that?" Red suggested a point out to help them both with their mate.

"There is no point in doing that? I hate leaving places with shame, come on, you know our identity red, a powerful alpha." Xavier tried bringing up his pride as the almighty Alpha.

"Please you just have to do it for us." Red pleaded.

"Okay fine, one last time, I will do it then."

Xavier agreed to sniff her out and give it another try in talking to her again.

"That's what I am talking about, having those guts, I know you got this." Red made a full of Xavier.

Xavier finally walked to the woods with his eyes glowing so bright in the dark searching for his mate as he also tried to smell her when he caught her scent, he had to walk in a haste to where she is.

"Mate, I can feel him approaching us, I love him already, despite what you did to him, he decided to find us again, I feel like popping out my tails," Whix said with full excitement and energy this time.

"He is getting closer Whix, what do I do? I ran the first time, should I apologize for running away from him?" Adriana had the look of regretting her actions on her face.

"Just remain still and let him speak first and do not run again, if you do, I will just stop talking with you or helping you in anything." Whix threatened.

"Like you mean it," Adriana said with a smile.

Xavier finally got close to her and held her hands, her heart was beating extremely fast.

"Hi again," Xavier said smiling at her.

"Hello." She smiled back at him speaking to Whix.

"Is holding hands part of the whole mate thing?"

"Oh mine he is so handsome and I love the sound of his voice, I must say we are both lucky to have him as our mate," Whix said not replying to a word Adriana said.

"What is hi again you moron, I guess I am in support if she runs off again," Red added.

"I am short of words that's why, but don't worry I got this, she won't run, I am holding her soft hands, her skin is so spotless you know."

"You are so annoying," Red responded in a rude tone.

"The wood is beautiful right?" Xavier asked with a smile.

"Xavier? Of all words and lines you could think of is the wood looks beautiful? This is an insult on my part." Red said in a vexing tone.

"Whix what do I say, he just said these ugly woods is beautiful?"

"Flow with the conversation love," Whix advises her.

"Yeah, the woods look so beautiful tonight." She avoided his gaze.

"My name is Xavier though I am not from here, I just came by to relax my head when I caught your scent." Xavier finally got the gut to speak freely with her.

"What a nice name!!" Whix complemented.

"Yes he got a cute name but I hate the fact he has to bear the same name with the traitor son." Adriana maintained a smiling face while speaking with her wolf.

"When it's time to get your revenge we do that okay, they all need to pay but right now, let address what is at our front right now, our mate, if possible do not bring any issues or talk of the pack, let's enjoy the moment of romance a bit," Whix suggested.

"Yes, you are right."

"My name is Adriana, I am from this town and work at the bar you saw me first, nice to meet you, Xavier." She blushed as Xavier rubbed her hands saying, "The pleasure is all mine."

"Why are your eyes glowing?" She asked him.

"Red, I know this is you, can you stop now, I am trying to have a conversation here." He added to Red.

"Tell her about me please so I can get to know her wolf side too." Red disturbed him to interact with Adriana's wolf side but they are both not ready to shift.

"I will but no shifting tonight okay?"

"Whatever." Red hisses.

"My wolf side is Red and he is happy to meet you tonight."

"Wow, mine is Whix and she is just super excited."

"So Adriana I would love to know more about you as my mate, do you mind if we can get a drink at the place you work?" Xavier asked but Adriana had to take off his hands off hers but he kept thinking if he said something to piss her off.
