Romeo POV 

I took Stella's hand and walked up the stairs and opened the door. I didn't bother with knocking. After all, this is my parents' home, and even when I did not live there, my dad made sure that I did have a room, just in case I needed to be close to my family. My mother is an expert at organizing gatherings, so this time I was surprised that dinner was not planned as a major event. I remember when I introduced Paige to them, my mother went so overboard that the centerpieces looked like something out of a wedding magazine. This time, I was completely out of my comfort zone, because there were no decorations, no service, nothing. My mom was cooking like she usually does for us, not as she usually does to entertain others.

“Dad, I am here…” I mind-linked him and he quickly went out of his study.

“Hello, son…” He greeted me and then he looked at Stella.
