Stella POV
We managed to walk out of our room and headed to dinner. I was hoping to see everyone there, and I was sure not disappointed. Our table suddenly felt bigger, full of people and laughter. My heart warmed up, seeing the way our pack and friends had recovered from the massive attack we had endured.
Everybody went silent as soon as we crossed the threshold of the dining hall. Rose's face lit up, and when our gazes crossed, I couldn't help but give her a broad smile. My eyes moved around, and my heart clenched when I saw Nate sitting in his wheelchair. It is unfair that such a fantastic person has to deal with that kind of recovery.
My dearest Elemental elder friends were there as well. Eleanore, Everly, Elphaba, and Evangeline. I owe them everything.
Romeo POVIt has been five months since we crossed forces with the darkness. My idea of setting up a council with every ruler as the head of their species was well received. We created treaties and laws that united our realms, and with the help of the Sisters of the Willow, we made a portal system that allowed our people to move back and forth.Morgan was a celebrity in the Dragon Realm. His technology expertise paid off, and now that the dragons had experienced technological advances, they were thrilled to learn more about it. That pushed him and Marcy to move to the Dragon Realm for a while. After all, we were their providers of the technology implemented in their realm. King David was the funniest, trying to video call everyone at all times. His daughter hatched two months ago, a gorgeous baby with purple eyes. The dragon's legends say the purple-eyed dragons were rare and blessed. I guess my pup got lucky on that one.
Romeo POVOur babies are three months old, and Stella has been doing wonderfully with motherhood. She is flourishing into her new roles, her role as Quen and her role as a brand-new mother.Ralph usually gives her more trouble than our sweet baby girl, Stormee. She is just like that, like a storm that takes time to brew, but when it hits you, it hits you fucking hard.I was lounging in my office going through some paperwork when Stella barged in. “Hey, Sweetie…” I lifted my eyebrows, and she sighed,She was silent, and I knew she wanted to discuss something important. “What is it?” I dropped the papers and realized she was biting her nails. This was not a good sign; it meant something was troubling her mind.“We need ground rules…” She blurted, and I squinted my eyebrows.“What?” I sighed. I had no context or ba
Stella POV“You are weak, you are useless. Nobody will look at you, your mate will be ashamed of you, your wolf-less brat, and he will reject you….” I woke up again with pain in my chest and tears in my eyes. I wished all those things said in my dream were just plain nightmares, but unfortunately, those were also my reality. My name is Stella Hope, the one daughter my parents like to keep hidden to not bring so much shame to the family. As my last name says, they hoped I was someone else’s problem or burden. I never considered myself someone not worthy or different. It was exactly the opposite of that dreadful day that marked my 18th birthday.** Flashback.**“Mom, I am so excited. I can't wait to get my wolf! I know she will be cool and popular like me." I said excitedly, and my mom smiled at my antics. I took a piece of bread, kissed her goodbye, and exited my home, heading towards school. On my way to school, I met my friends Rose and Pete. “Hey, girl! Happy Birthday!” Both yelled w
Stella POVFor the past three years, Paige has been away from home to attend college, and then she found a job in the palace at the Royal Pack. She has improved her skills and excelled in all her activities. I am so proud of her, as well as my parents. Of course, she is the golden daughter, the one that will bring joy and pride to the family, while I was just this wolf-less piece of trash that must be kept hidden, like the family's dirty secret. For a Beta's daughter, it was an honor to be granted the Excellence Medal Distinction from the Royal Pack. We attended the ceremony and my parents were beaming with pride. I witnessed the whole thing from a corner, trying not to interfere like it has been my custom these past years. I loved my family and wished they loved me despite not having my wolf with me... I knew they did, but somehow they struggled to show it... I hoped they could walk in my shoes... I not only felt alone and incomplete by the lack of a wolf, but I also lost the love, c
Romeo POVI met Paige three years ago, I was a year away from graduating from university, and she was just in her first year. The first time I saw her, I thought she was beautiful, but I did not feel any mate pull or see anything special about her. I was disappointed. We became friends and had good chemistry, so I decided to get to know her better... I was trying to keep my options open...I was looking for certain characteristics of the she-wolf that was supposed to be my mate. The prophecy said she came from the Silvercrown Pack and had supernatural strength, speed, and elemental powers. At first, Paige didn't stroke me like someone with those characteristics, but then she started blooming in strength. We trained together, and I discovered her amazing speed, but what made me almost certain she was the she-wolf I was looking for, was that she could muster the ability to handle the elemental power of earth. The prophecy was quite clear.“There would be a She-Wolf, a unique one, the on
Stella POVI can't believe that Paige brought home the future Supreme Alpha. I wonder why? I hope he is not her destined mate. I love my sister, but sometimes she is selfish and spoiled. I don't see how she would be the mother of all the werewolf realm, without a single kind and caring hair on her body. It is part of her personality. So I hope the Moon Goddess can see through her and do the realm a favor by not pairing him with my sister. After my stupid introduction to the future Supreme Alpha, I decided not to go back down. I know for a fact, that my family will always want me to stay clear of their business since I only bring them disappointment and shame. After everything, I disappeared and no one cared about coming to get me back, so I knew I was not needed. I jumped into the shower and relaxed, cleaning the sand and salt from the sea. Today was a good day. Brad and Pete came to the rescue and although my family didn't care about my birthday, I was content with the love shown by
Romeo POVAfter the little meet-cute with Stella, Paige was extra clingy. I hate it when girls feel insecure and get clingy and annoying, so that was Paige right now. Max, my wolf, was not making things easier for me, he peaked from now and then, only when Stella was present, like trying to figure something out, and honestly, as soon as my eyes laid on her, I knew there was something about her drawing me in.We went into Paige's room, and when we stopped at the door, I knew immediately that the door across from Paige's was Stella's. I knew because she smelled like strawberry cheesecake, and Max was peeking out as soon as her scent hit my nose. With my enhanced Alpha hearing, I could catch the noise of water running, and I immediately knew she was taking a shower. My mind started running away with Stella naked just a wall away. Wait what? Why am I thinking that way about my future sister-in-law? I needed to get a grip. Unfortunately for me, “Romeo… Come in,” Paige pulled me back out fr
Stella POV“Mom, do I have to go?” I asked for the nth time, and for the nth time my mother answered “Yes, it is mandatory. You know that, Stella.” She scolded me and my father rolled his eyes at me. “Look, we know. We are the first ones wanting you to stay behind, but the king was clear about the rules of the games.” My dad said, annoyed. For the last month, I have been preparing for this. We were traveling to the Royal Pack for the tournament, but every time I thought about going there, I could only see Romeo in my head. The Friendship Games were a tournament held every year to have a friendly competition among all the packs in the Realm. The tournament compelled every wolf to participate. The competition age was set from 18 to 25 years old. At 21 years old and the daughter of one of the most prominent Beta's in the Realm. I was expected to show up and participate.&nbs
