“The bleeding has stopped, and we’ve been able to stabilize her condition. She’s fine! I’m glad to announce that your daughter was six weeks pregnant. Congratulations.”

Tila ba sandaling huminto ang oras matapos marinig ng lahat ang sinambit ng doctor na siyang nag-check kay Alianna. Ang lahat ay nabigla dahil sa rebelasyon na isiniwalat nito.

“Doc, is this some sort of a prank? This isn’t funny.” Alvin said in a serious tone. He immediately stood up and held his emotions.

“I’m not pranking you, Mr. Sebastiano. This is a private hospital. Jokes have no room here.” The doctor stated.

Napabuntong hininga ng malalim si Alvin. Para siyang aatakihin sa puso dahil sa narinig. Mabuti na lamang at nahawakan siya ni Luis.

“Ayos lang po ba kayo, Sir?” tanong nito.

Tumango naman bilang tugon si Alvin.

“We’re moving your daughter to a private room now, for her body to rest. Please, as a family member… as much as possible, lessen the stress of the patient. We don’t want to lose the baby.”
