Laura's POV

“Congratulations, Laura,” Agatha squealed excitedly, coming towards me. For a moment, I was left astonished. Last time I checked, Agatha and I weren't on too good terms, even though she apologized to me and eventually left the country for relaxation.

Immediately, I covered my surprised countenance with a forced smile and looked at Eric.

“You told her?” I whispered to him, cocking my brows and he nodded.

“Of course, Mum's coming over and Dad... He's actually busy,” He replied.

“Oh,” I mouthed.

Not like Mr. Landon would show up to celebrate with us, though. Always a stern looking man. I see why Eric has always been trying to impress him, even if he doesn't deserve to be impressed.
