Chapter 34 : Put Yourself in My Shoes

When we got to the Molton house, I jumped out of the car and sped into the house. I was pretty sure I was through the front door even before Daniel or Mina could take off their seatbelts. I ran into Jace in the kitchen, but even though I wasn’t in a good mood, I knew that Jace had nothing to do with it, so I tried to be nice.

“Hey, do you know what this meeting is about?” Jace asked me from the counter, taking a sip of his protein shake.

“Yes, Daniel and I will explain it all there,” I promised him. “Can you attend? I heard you had a busy day.” I tried to make the comment sound as innocent as possible.
