27 - It Should Be Me

~Livia’s Point of View~

We’d been sitting around, dressed in our best … waiting for my father to return from court for nearly an hour. Sitting in a room with my drunk mother, my annoying siblings, my horny suitors, Leonard and the Shadows was just about the most awkward fucking thing imaginable.

Well, marrying one of the stupid suitors was the most awkward and awful thing imaginable at the moment. I was getting increasingly anxious for Shadrick’s date tomorrow as I looked up from my losing hand of cards to look for him in the crowd.

I hadn’t really noticed since my sisters had been talking me to death, but now that I did look around, I was quickly noticing that Shadrick wasn’t here. Maybe he’s not feeling well? Hmm I hadn’t seen him since breakfast but then again I didn’t go out of my way to find the suitors.
