24 - Trust

She came to me, my sexy as hell mate. I thought for sure I was dreaming, but if I was then Diego certainly wouldn’t be in the bed next to us. Her hair was wet, she’d just showered. I had to wonder if it was to get Jasper’s smell off of her, but I couldn’t think about it.

She wanted me, she might not understand why but she did, she wanted me to comfort her. She was spending the night with me and not Jasper. I held her tight and found sleep immediately, lost in the smell of her hair.

I dreamed about our wedding, even though shifters don’t normally have a wedding … some do if their mate wants it. Livia lived her life mostly as a human, out in the open, so she’d want a wedding. I wouldn’t have a ton of money to put toward such a thing, let alone a honeymoon. But I would definitely try to get her the ring of her dreams, even if I had to take out a loan or something. I’d make it work.
