23 - The Attorney

~River’s Point of View~

I gathered what I felt were the most important things we’d found at Blood Claw for Quinn to review and I drafted an Order for him to sign that would allow for the attorney to read Gunner’s will.

I was now seated in Quinn’s office awaiting his arrival and while I told myself not to wonder why Quinn was so interested in Gunner’s affairs, it was bugging me. It had been about three years since our war, and if anyone should have been interested, it should have been my dad since he was the werewolf representative on the council.

Then I had to ask myself, why didn’t dad send a team in there to look for Gunner’s financials and other important documents? You’d think that would have been a priority, to find out who else he may have been working with and all that. Not to mention if there was a lot of money, it should probably go to his victims. Some of it may have been theirs to begin with anyhow.
