Chp 7 Pt. 4 History Lesson

Normally I hate when someone calls me angel, but when he does it feels right. I head back home and sneak back through my bedroom window. Luck must be on my side because it would seem no one knew I was missing. I slip into bed and decide to go to bed early.

When I awaken I find that it is still dark out, though I see a hint of red in the night and I can see smoke rising out of the sky. I scramble out of bed and head downstairs. Warriors are heading towards the fire as she wolves with pups and the elder are heading towards the safe rooms.

I see my father leading one group of warriors and my mother leading another. I haven’t seen her in action before and I watch, mesmerized, as she controls the fire so it isn’t spreading wildly.
