Katerina’s breathing is shallow, but Skye assures me that a warlock named Gibson and Kai removed all the toxin. It is now up to Katerina’s wolf to do the rest. I have never been more grateful that she is a tribrid and already has her wolf. If she was just a typical wolf she would’ve already died. I would’ve lost my mate.
“She’ll be okay Gunner,” says Hunter. “Especially now that you are here.”
I know the bond will help, but to me it’s not fast enough. I already miss her bright blue eyes and smile that warms my heart. I would give anything for her to even scold me right now as long as she were awake and healthy.

I can see Katerina’s anger grow as we arrive back at the back house where Katerina is led to the Alpha’s chambers where a badly beaten young man is tied to a sliver chair with silver chains and what looks like a drip with what is probably wolfsbane.
