Katerina
I never realize me not being a Lycan would be a problem when I accepted to be Gunner’s mate and Luna. I have been so use to everyone liking me, mainly because of who my father and parents are, that this is uncharted territory for me. I know Gunner wanted to rip their heads off but he held back and let me handle it on my own. I told him I needed to win my battles here in order to gain any respect. I cannot hide behind him and let him win my battles for me. I am the Luna.
These last few days have been nice. The children seem happier and even Samuel has started to relax a bit, being the kid he was meant to be. Jolene has been home schooling them to see where they are academically and unfortunately they are way behind. There is no way we could stick them in school until she can catch them up.
Lucas has been kind enough to show me the library and pull out books on the pack’s history. I want to know all that I can so I can ensure I lead properly.
Katerina‘Rogues!’We hear through the mind link and I don’t think twice as I jump from the balcony onto the roof all the way down to the ground.“Luna wait! Shit!”Lucas follows me as I take off in the direction the scent of blood and burnt flesh is heaviest. Sure enough I find the rogues attacking my people. I see two children cowering as a third, probably the oldest, stands in front of the younger two to protect them. I shift and immediately charge the rogue and slam into him before he reaches the children.I stand in front of the children, snarling at the wolf as he bares his fangs at me. I prepare as he charges but he never reaches us as a large brown lycan grabs the rogue by the throat and breaks his neck.‘My Luna,’ I hear in my head and realize it&
GunnerI awake to the annoying beep I am all to familiar with and immediately know I am in the hospital. My chest is killing me and I notice a small scar still healing. I sit up and take in my surroundings when I notice Kat lying motionless in the bed next to me.“Kat!”I fling the hospital blankets off of me and make my way next to her.“Alpha you shouldn’t be moving yet,” I hear my aunt’s voice but don’t respond. She sighs before checking my vitals and I let her without leaving Kat’s side.“What happened.”“The arrow that struck you was laced with a poison that took me time to figure out. It had wolfsbane, which was obvious. Oleander, which is why it took you so long to heal as it blocked your healing ability but you also had moonseed in your system which confuses me. It
GunnerWhat I find surprises me most of all. A young she wolf, maybe eighteen, cowers in the corner. She appears innocent and frail, nothing like I would think these rogues that attacked would be.“Where did you find her,” I ask a warrior.“We followed the rogues back to their camp.”Fear rolls off of her and I know something isn’t right.“Tell me all that I want to know and no harm will come to you.”“Alpha please, I was nothing but a slave. Kidnapped from my own pack and forced to renounce my old pack or they would kill my sister. Please save my sister.”“Slow down, what do you mean.”These rogues have been working together and have been kidnapping young she-wolves and forcing them to go rogue and then selling them as sex slaves. I wonder if the other packs have realized what has been happening and it makes me wonder how many young lycans in my pack did I belie
Katerina“What happened?”I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck and I can hardly life my arms. It’s like I am being weighed down by rocks piled onto my chest. I try to sit up but to no avail.“Here let me help you,” says Gunner as he helps me sit up and puts a cup of water with a straw to my lips.“Thank you.”“That was incredibly stupid of you Kat! What were you thinking! You could’ve died! What if I didn’t get here in time huh?! Then what!?”I growl at Kai to shut up. I don’t need him scolding my mate. She is my responsibility now and a Luna. She reacted just like a Luna.“She is a Luna Kai and you will respect her as such. I don’t care if you are her brother you….”Katerina places her hand on my chest to get my attention.“It’s okay Gunner. Jolene will you please take the children to get some
GunnerIt seems everything is falling into place for the lycans. More and more of them are getting their fated mates and it would see those close to Kat and I are mated to other races. The elders are not going to be happy about this. They already don’t like that my Beta is mated to a witch. Allison is great and though she is the pack’s accountant she is more like my secretary which has caused some problems with Savannah. Allison and Savannah don’t see eye to eye.Hunter and I are in our offices preparing for the meeting with the Alphas about the missing girls when my ears perk up at the sound of arguing.“Have you gotten the conference room ready? Several Alphas will be here today.”“No I…..”“Savannah…There should already be a table lined with simple foods, coffee, tea, juice as well as silverware, plates and napkins. Why has this not bee
KaterinaMy mother adores the children already and it makes my heart happy. I wasn’t sure if she would accept them as her own grandchildren, but here she is acting as though I gave birth to these children myself. The children ask her question after question and she is so patient as she answers each one. The nurse comes back in and takes some more blood to check if all the toxins have left my system when the next question catches my attention.“Luna Ahsoka can we bake cookies? I always wanted to bake cookies,” says Savannah and my mother tries to hide her shock but I see it.She quickly recovers with a smile though I can see this hurts her heart just as much as it does mine.“You four can just call me Nana and of course we can make cookies. Jolene can you show us to the kitchen?”
GunnerEveryone attacks from every angle and I can tell it has thrown the rogues off guard. They scramble, not sure what to do. The young witches recognize their kin and instead of helping the rogues escape they help us.‘Capture the leader, I want him alive,’ I order to everyone in the link. The rest of Alphas and coven leaders know this and have instructed their warriors the same. I know there are more girls out there we need to save and I will take out any pack that has participated purchasing these innocent girls.“Kill them all,” Lloyd orders and girls begin screaming as they try to get away.‘Hunter!’‘We’re on it Alpha!’Blood stains the ground and I pray we haven’t lost any of the girls. Screams echo through the night and m
KaterinaI hear a lot of commotion outside my hospital room that I decide to check it out. There are three young girls being examined and I can see tears of happiness as they are surrounded by what appears to be loved ones.“What are you doing out of bed angel,” asks Gunner as he sees me emerge from my room.“I could hear the commotion. You did it?”“Yes, we saved them. Well, not all of them.”“What do you mean?”“You should rest, you’ll be discharged later this evening.”“Gunner, I’m fine. What do you mean?”“Hunter has a sister, one that is half human and was believed to not have a lycan so she lived with her human mother in town. I believed she had a lycan but when we were going to confirm she disappeared. Her mother was heartbroken and believed she ran away.”“Okay what does this have to do with the gir
